Bengals re-signed OG Mike Pollak to a three-year, $5 million contract.
Pollak, 29, can earn up to $7.5 million over the life of the deal by becoming a starter. The 2008 second-rounder appeared in eight games last season, starting five. The former Colt was surprisingly effective after a shoulder injury limited him to just one game in 2012. Pollak could open 2014 as a starter if LG Clint Boling isn't recovered from his torn ACL. Bengals agreed to terms with G/C Mike Pollak, formerly of the Panthers.

The former second-round pick was limited to one game by a shoulder injury last season. He made 41 starts for Peyton Manning's Colts between 2008-11, but was benched twice. Pollak will provide depth for a Bengals team that's already set at guard.

Free agent G/C Mike Pollak worked out for the Bengals Wednesday.

Pollak appeared in just one game for the Panthers last year thanks to a shoulder injury. The 2008 second-round pick of the Colts brings versatile depth and 41 career starts to the table.

Panthers placed G/C Mike Pollak (shoulder) on season-ending injured reserve.

Pollak has been out since Week 1. The former second-rounder was signed in the offseason after starting 41 games for the Colts from 2008-11. Pollak was an interior line backup and is a free agent after the season. CB Ron Parker was signed off the practice squad earlier on Saturday to fill the roster spot.

Panthers signed G/C Mike Pollak, formerly of the Colts.

The 2008 second-rounder has started 41 of 58 games the past four years, losing his job to former Arena Leaguer Kyle DeVan in 2009 and Jeff Linkenbach at mid-season last year. Pollak has been adequate as a pass blocker but ineffective as a run blocker in his four-year career. He could compete for the left guard vacancy created by Travelle Wharton's release.

Mike Pollak replaced Jeff Linkenbach as the Colts' starting right guard in Sunday's loss to the Cowboys.

Pollak started the first eight games of the season before losing his job to Linkenbach. Clearly, neither one is impressing. The Colts are averaging just 3.5 yards per carry this season, dead last in the NFL.

Mike Pollak has taken over as the Colts' starting right guard.

The 2008 second-rounder lost his job to former Arena Leaguer Kyle DeVan last year, due in large part to knee injuries. Now healthy, the more athletic Pollak has regained the job from DeVan.

Mike Pollak and Tony Ugoh are the favorites to start at guard for the Colts this season.

Pollak is slated to replace Kyle DeVan at right guard, while the athletic Ugoh is the favorite to take over for displaced LG Ryan Lilja. Pollak has 20 starts in his first two seasons. Ugoh should improve the interior pass protection.

The Colts have begun to work Kyle DeVan into a rotation with Mike Pollak at right guard.

It doesn't say much for last year's second-rounder Pollak that he's losing time to a player signed off the Boise Burn of Arena Football2 this past offseason.

Colts RG Mike Pollak (ankle) and G/C Jamey Richard (ankle) have been ruled out for Saturday's game.

Dan Federkeil will start in Pollak's place, which doesn't bode well for the Colts rushing attack.

Colts RG Mike Pollack (ankle) and G/C Jamey Richard (ankle) have yet to practice this week, and their status for Saturday's game is in doubt.

Dan Federkeil, who started the first three games of the season, is expected to draw the start. The Colts have struggled to run the ball all season, and this won't help going up against Chargers defensive tackle Jamal Williams.

Second-round rookie Mike Pollak started the Colts' Week 5 game at left guard after missing the first four weeks with a knee injury.

Left tackle Tony Ugoh (groin) was active, but only played special teams. When Ugoh gets 100 percent he may move Charlie Johnson to guard, replacing Pollak. But it's clear that Indianapolis' offensive outlook is pointing up.

Rookie G/C Mike Pollak (knee) has resumed practicing for the Colts.

Indianapolis' offensive line as a whole will be a lot better off coming back from its bye week. Pollak was the Colts' second-round pick in April.

Colts rookie C/G Mike Pollak (knee surgery) is expected back in early October.

The Colts are targeting Pollak's return after their Week 4 bye. He may not be back in time to help out with the early season loss of center Jeff Saturday, but the second-rounder could provide key depth.

Colts agreed to terms with rookie C/G Mike Pollak, the No. 59 overall pick, on a multi-year contract.

Pollak, who went to Arizona State, is a candidate to help replace Jake Scott at guard this year. Next season, he could take over at C for Jeff Saturday.
