Ravens released C Jeremy Zuttah.

The writing was on the wall for this one, though Zuttah had a strong season in 2016, getting named to the Pro Bowl and grading out as Pro Football Focus' No. 14 center out of 37 qualifiers. He received extremely strong marks for his run blocking. After losing RT Rick Wagner in free agency, the Ravens have yet another hole to fill on the offensive line. Zuttah turns 31 in June.

The Ravens can create $2.3 million in cap room by releasing C Jeremy Zuttah.

Zuttah is firmly on the bubble as the Ravens look to shake things up a bit after missing the playoffs for the second straight season. Zuttah turns 31 this summer and is an undersized center at right around 300 pounds. He was PFF's No. 14 center out of 37 qualifiers in 2016, grading out well in run blocking.

Ravens placed C Jeremy Zuttah on injured reserve with a torn pectoral, ending his season.

Zuttah went down in the Week 10 loss to the Jaguars. John Urschel will take over as the Ravens' starting center the rest of the way. Zuttah turns 30 next June and was signed to an extension through 2018 when Baltimore acquired him from the Bucs in March of 2014. Prior to going down, Zuttah had graded out as PFF's No. 8 center, excelling both in the run and pass games.

Ravens converted $1.628 million of C Jeremy Zuttah's 2015 base salary into a signing bonus.

The move creates $1.221 million in cap space for 2015. The Ravens will likely use the extra room to bring in secondary or wide receiver help.

Zuttah went under the knife in February, and progressed without setbacks. Heading into his age-29 season, Zuttah graded out as Pro Football Focus' No. 17 overall center in 2014.

Zuttah was limited to individual drills at mandatory minicamp. He hasn’t had any setbacks from his February clean-up. Zuttah's Week 1 status isn't in doubt.

Ravens C Jeremy Zuttah recently had surgery to remove bone spurs from his hip.

The procedure was described as a "clean-up" operation. Zuttah played well in his first season with Baltimore, only allowing one sack. One of the Ravens' best run blockers, Zuttah should be ready for the start of next season.

The Baltimore Sun reports C Jeremy Zuttah's new deal with the Ravens runs through 2018.

Financial terms are not yet available. Zuttah is still only 28 (in June), but he won't be the Ravens' center for the next five years if he doesn't improve on his 2013, where he was essentially replacement level in the middle. All the Ravens care about right now is that Zuttah is a (major) upgrade on Gino Gradkowski.

Ravens acquired C Jeremy Zuttah from the Buccaneers in exchange for a fifth-round pick in the 2015 NFL draft.

They're also signing him to a long-term deal. Zuttah, 28 in June, is a Rutgers alum who was on the outs in Tampa after Greg Schiano's departure. He ranked 22nd among 35 qualifying centers in Pro Football Focus' 2013 ratings, while incumbent Ravens C Gino Gradkowski came in dead last at 35th. Zuttah isn't an All Pro, but he's a stable addition to a Baltimore line that got rag-dolled last season. Zuttah also ran a sub-5.00 forty time coming out and is a big athletic upgrade. He's a strong fit for new OC Gary Kubiak's zone-blocking scheme.

The Baltimore Sun reports the Ravens are expected to trade for Buccaneers C Jeremy Zuttah.

Per the Sun's Aaron Wilson, it's "unclear when the deal will be finalized, or terms of the trade." Zuttah has been a release candidate in Tampa and Ravens GM Ozzie Newsome is arguably the league's savviest shot caller, so we can't imagine the Bucs will be getting more than a sixth-round pick. Zuttah played below-average football in 2013, but was viewed as an ascending player before that and can play guard or center. He turns 28 in June. Zuttah's 2014 base salary is $4.5 million, so Baltimore will likely look to rework his deal.

CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora reports the Buccaneers are "open to listening to offers" for C/G Jeremy Zuttah.

Zuttah's $4.5 million base salary will be prohibitive, especially when interested clubs know the Buccaneers will likely just wind up releasing him. The Bucs' entire line took a step back last season, and GM Jason Licht has prioritized overhauling it. Zuttah, 27, has generally been a quality NFL starter.

CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora considers the Giants a possible landing spot for C Jeremy Zuttah.

Zuttah's roster spot is in danger following the signing of Evan Dietrich-Smith. The Bucs are considering keeping Zuttah and moving him to guard, but can clear his entire $4.5 million cap hit without any dead money if they choose to release him. The Giants currently have just J.D. Walton and free-agent Kevin Boothe as candidates for their starting center job.

ESPN Bucs reporter Pat Yasinskas reports C Jeremy Zuttah's roster spot could be in danger.

Zuttah has started all 32 games the past two seasons and can also play both guard spots. He has two years left on a four-year, $16.3 million deal. The Bucs can clear Zuttah's entire $4.5 million cap hit without any dead money hits if they choose to release him. Zuttah, 28 in June, is merely an average talent.

Bucs C Jeremy Zuttah triggered an escalator in his contract, raising his 2013 salary from $3.625 million to $3.875 million.

Zuttah just signed a new four-year contract last offseason. He went on to start all 16 games, seven at center and nine at left guard after Carl Nicks was injured. Zuttah has missed just two games over the last four seasons, and with Nicks and RG Davin Joseph returning to health, he'll move back to center in 2013.
