Coach Pat Shurmur said there's been no real drop-off in production since LG John Greco replaced injured starter Jason Pinkston.
Pinkston is out for the season with a blood clot in his lung, but Greco has more than held his own. In three starts, the 2008 Rams third-rounder has made Pro Football Focus' Team of the Week twice. Fri, Nov 16, 2012 11:03:00 AM

Browns signed G John Greco to an undisclosed contract.

Acquired last summer from St. Louis in exchange for a 2012 seventh-round pick, Greco appeared in 15 games, playing primarily on special teams. He has run-blocking potential, but through four NFL seasons has only four starts.

Browns acquired OG John Greco from the Rams in exchange for a conditional 2012 seventh-round pick.

The 65th overall pick in 2008, Greco had support among the Rams' scouting staff but his inability to consistently pass protect was his undoing. St. Louis valued keeping Sam Bradford upright over all else. Greco is familiar with new head coach Pat Shurmur, and the Browns may be gearing up to release overrated LG Eric Steinbach. Either way, Greco should make the 53-man roster.

Sources tell Rams beat writer Jim Thomas that OG John Greco has been traded to the Browns.

Greco was not a favorite of St. Louis' coaching staff last year (they played him behind the ineffective Adam Goldberg), and will now have a chance to showcase his run-blocking prowess in Cleveland. He apparently had a fan in Pat Shurmur, his former offensive coordinator in St. Louis and now head coach.

Rams agreed to terms with OG John Greco on a one-year contract.

A three-year veteran, Greco was tagged with an original pick tender prior to the lockout, making him a restricted free agent. The run-blocking specialist will get a chance to start this season, possibly replacing Adam Goldberg.

Rams extended restricted free agent OG John Greco an original pick tender.

Greco is a three-year vet, meaning his tender will last past the next CBA. One of St. Louis' better run blockers, Greco doesn't seem to be a coaching staff favorite. He played behind ineffective Adam Goldberg most of last year.

Rams G John Greco had surgery on his wrist over the weekend and is expected to miss two to three weeks.

This won't affect the Rams' offense too much as they now have Adam Goldberg on the bench. Greco will get a good view of Jason Smith's NFL debut.

Rams signed T John Greco to a three-year contract.

Terms weren't disclosed. Greco, a third-round pick, was projected to be a guard by many going into the pros. He will stay at tackle though, and seems likely to backup Alex Barron at right tackle.

Rams selected Toledo OT John Greco with the No. 65 overall pick in the draft.

Greco started 49 consecutive games in his college career and is a solid athlete. However, he will not be the answer if St. Louis loses Orlando Pace again. The Rams continue to make questionable picks. Greco is a decent prospect, but his skill set may very well translate better to guard. The Rams will initially try him at right tackle, where he'll battle Alex Barron.
