Redskins agreed to terms with CB Tracy Porter, formerly of the Raiders, on a two-year, $6 million deal.
Porter, 28 in August, started all 16 games for Oakland in 2013, playing 1,016 snaps. It was the first time in his career Porter played a full season, and the results weren't pretty. He graded out 105th in Pro Football Focus' 110-man cornerback rankings, and an abominable 106th in pass coverage. Porter has experience at both outside and slot corner. With DeAngelo Hall and David Amerson on the perimeter, Porter will likely replace Josh Wilson at nickel. Mar 13 - 1:36 PM

Free agent CB Tracy Porter is visiting the Giants.

Porter has been getting burned in coverage for years, but NFL teams still seem to see potential in him. He's 27 years old with experience covering the slot and playing outside. He'd enter a camp battle to start with the G-Men.

Raiders CB Tracy Porter (concussion) is practicing Wednesday.

Porter suffered a concussion in the third quarter of Monday night's game, but was able to practice on a limited basis. He's on track to gain full medical clearance for Week 4 against the Redskins.

Raiders CB Tracy Porter has been diagnosed with a concussion.

Porter sustained the injury when he got kneed in the head by teammate Lamarr Houston on Monday night. If he can't go in Week 4, the Raiders would be forced to move Mike Jenkins into the slot, leaving D.J. Hayden and Phillip Adams outside. It would be great news for Robert Griffin III as the Redskins play at Oakland next week.

Raiders RCB Tracy Porter left Monday night's Week 3 game against the Broncos with a head injury.

Porter was hurt while tackling Demaryius Thomas on the final play of the third quarter. Phillip Adams is the next man up in the Oakland secondary.

The Raiders fear CB Tracy Porter suffered a severe right groin injury in Friday night's preseason game against the Saints.

Not only do the Raiders have a pathetic starting lineup, they have zero depth. So losing an entrenched top-three cornerback like Porter could force them to put someone like converted running back Taiwan Jones into the lineup. 32-year-old Joselio Hanson would be another candidate for increased snaps.

ESPN's Bill Williamson thinks the Raiders see Tracy Porter as their No. 3 corner.

That scenario assumes first-round rookie D.J. Hayden is healthy enough to start opposite former Cowboys first-rounder Mike Jenkins. Charles Woodson will be the free safety. It's actually not a bad secondary on paper, but they're going to be asked to cover for way too long. The Raiders' pass rush is abysmal.

New Raiders CB Tracy Porter calls the seizure that marred his 2012 a "one-time deal."

"(They) never found a cause," Porter said. "Might have been the altitude ... I am 100 percent." Porter believes the ordeal affected his market. As long as he stays healthy, Porter will be a starter in Oakland.

Raiders signed CB Tracy Porter to a one-year, $2.5 million contract.

Chalk up a quality signing for Oakland. Although Porter fell out of favor in Denver following his strange medical issues, the 26-year-old is a capable right corner that can play the slot in nickel formations. He's made 43 career starts and was a key piece of the Saints' 2009 Super Bowl team. The Raiders still have one of the league's worst secondaries. Their current projected starting corners are Porter and Phillip Adams, with Coye Francies at free safety.

Free agent CB Tracy Porter will visit the Raiders on Wednesday.

This, after he visited the Saints on Monday. Per ESPN's Bill Williamson, both teams "want" Porter, and a decision is expected shortly. Porter would be in for major snaps with either team.

The Saints reportedly hosted free agent CB Tracy Porter for a visit Monday.

Porter's market is heating up, as he's reportedly drawn interest from the Raiders, Dolphins, and now the team with which he began his career. Porter spent his first four NFL seasons in New Orleans. When healthy, he's primarily a right cornerback who can drop down to cover slot receivers in the nickel.

The Raiders have reportedly been "talking to" free agent CB Tracy Porter.

The Dolphins also recently "made an inquiry" on Porter. The 26-year-old corner played for Raiders head coach Dennis Allen in New Orleans, and Oakland is in dire shape in the secondary. Porter should be amenable to a cheap deal.

The Dolphins recently "made an inquiry" on free agent CB Tracy Porter.

Porter's market has been predictably dead after seizures and a concussion ruined his 2012 season. In years prior, Porter's knee was a concern. Still only 26 years old, Porter would be worth bringing to training camp to battle for a roster spot.

Free agent CB Tracy Porter conceded that he "highly doubts" the Broncos will re-sign him.

The Broncos haven't even reached out to Porter's agent. "They seem to be set on the guys they were playing with last year," he said. "I just kind of got lost in the shuffle. I mean that's the nature of the business. So, I just have to see what else is out there." With his seizure issues behind him, the ex-Saint shouldn't have trouble finding a job. Porter could be a steal for a corner-needy team like Oakland.

The Broncos are not expected to re-sign free agent CB Tracy Porter.

Denver paid Porter $4 million in 2012 to appear in six games and struggle in the rare instances he played. In-house alternatives at right corner are Tony Carter and Omar Bolden, although the Denver Post expects the Broncos to prioritize upgrading this position. Rumors have linked them to Darrelle Revis.
