Dolphins signed OG Josh Sitton, formerly of the Bears, to a two-year contract.
Miami opened a massive hole on the interior of their line by cutting C Mike Pouncey on Thursday, but bringing Sitton in should help to plug the gap. Sitton will turn 32 in June, but he remained a quality option last season in Chicago. Even with Sitton on board, Miami has work to do on their offensive line. Mar 15 - 12:48 PM

Free agent OG Josh Sitton will visit the Dolphins on Wednesday.

The Dolphins haven't really taken guard seriously the past few seasons, experimenting with backups and converted tackles. 31-year-old Sitton is easily the best interior lineman left on the open market. Despite his advancing age, he remained highly effective for the Bears in 2017.

The Bears have declined LG Josh Sitton's $8 million team option for 2018, making him a free agent.

Sitton remained one of the league's best guards in 2018, but the Bears evidently want to go younger. Sitton has also battled the injury bug in Chicago, missing three games each of the past two seasons. The ex-Packer turns 32 in June. He will not lack for interest on the open market. Since Sitton isn't being released, and is simply having an option declined, he isn't eligible to sign until the start of free agency.

The Chicago Tribune's Brad Biggs suggested the Bears may not pick up LG Josh Sitton's 2018 team option.

The final year of Sitton's deal is a team option which must be exercised by March 9, five days before free agency opens. If the Bears pick it up, the guard will make $8 million in salary and bonuses. Sitton's level of play justifies that kind of money, but he has missed three games each of his first two seasons in Chicago and turns 32 in June. Still, the Bears have enough concerns on offense without creating an unnecessary hole on the offensive line.

Bears LG Josh Sitton (ankle) and RT Bobby Massie (knee) are both listed as doubtful for Week 17.

They're also missing RG Kyle Long, who was placed on I.R. a few weeks back. Jordan Howard already had a tough Week 17 draw against a Vikings defense allowing the NFL's fewest fantasy points to running backs.

Bears declared LG Josh Sitton (ankle) inactive for Sunday's Week 16 game versus the Browns.

Sitton missed practice both Thursday and Friday with an ankle injury. Currently ranking sixth in run blocking for all guards per Pro Football Focus, Sitton's absence will be missed in the run game. With Tom Compton also out along with Sitton, expect Hroniss Grasu to start at C, while Cody Whitehair and Bradley Sowell to start at each guard spot for Chicago. QB, Mark Sanchez, CB Deiondre Hall, RB Taquan Mizzell, DT Rashaad Coward, OL Tom Compton and TE Adam Shaheen are also inactive for Chicago Sunday.

Bears LG Josh Sitton exited Week 12 against the Eagles with a concussion.

Sitton exited in the second quarter and was quickly placed in the protocol. Bradley Sowell replaced him in the lineup. Already struggling to do anything, losing Sitton is a big blow to the offense.

NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reports "teams are calling" the Bears about LG Josh Sitton ahead of Tuesday afternoon's trade deadline.

It's a bit out of left field. The Bears won't be making the postseason, but they might be reluctant to weaken their offensive line with a rookie quarterback. Sitton is performing well in his age-31 campaign. He's signed for next season, though at a pricey $8 million between salary and bonuses. Tom Compton would slide in alongside Kyle Long were Sitton to be dealt.

Bears RG Josh Sitton (ribs) is questionable for Week 4 against the Packers.

Sitton sat out Sunday's game with a rib injury but should be fine to play Thursday night after putting in a limited week of practice. Hroniss Grasu (hand) is also questionable for Week 4 while Nick Kwiatkoski is doubtful with a torn pectoral. Quintin Demps (forearm) has already been ruled out.

Bears declared RG Josh Sitton, S Deon Bush, TE Daniel Brown, DL John Jenkins, ILB Nick Kwiatkoski, RB Taquan Mizzell and QB Mark Sanchez inactive for Week 3 against the Steelers.

Sitton is nursing a rib injury he suffered in Week 2 while Kwiatkoski is week to week with a torn pectoral. Prince Amukamara (ankle), Tom Compton (hip), Benny Cunningham (ankle), Akiem Hicks (shoulder), Jordan Howard (shoulder), Kyle Long (ankle), Markus Wheaton (finger) and Kendall Wright (shoulder) are all active for Sunday's 1 PM ET start.

Bears RG Josh Sitton (rib) is listed as doubtful for Week 3.

It's more bad news for Jordan Howard, who isn't healthy himself. When healthy, Sitton is one of the best guards in football. We wonder if he has a broken rib.

Bears RG Josh Sitton was forced from Sunday's game against the Bears with a rib injury, and will not return.

Fellow starter Kyle Long was already sidelined with an ankle issue, while fill-in Tom Compson (hip) was knocked out earlier on Sunday. The Bears are apparently down to their "last reserve" offensive lineman.

The Bears will flip flop their guards this season, moving Josh Sitton to right guard with Kyle Long kicking to left guard.

The Bears have made a habit of toying with Long's position, previously trying him at right tackle before kicking him back to his natural right guard spot, and now moving him to the left. The reasons for the latest switch are unclear, but Long is believed to have lost a ton of weight while rehabbing multiple injuries. Sitton saw action at both left and right guard during his Packers tenure.

Bears LG Josh Sitton (ankle) is listed as doubtful for Week 12.

As RG Kyle Long (shoulder/ankle) was lost for the season two weeks ago, the Bears will be without both of their starting guards with Matt Barkley under center and Cameron Meredith as their No. 1 receiver and Logan Paulsen as their No. 1 tight end. This is an offense to target with Tennessee's fantasy defense.

Bears LG Josh Sitton was forced from Sunday's game against the Giants with an ankle injury, and will not return.

Sitton has been bothered by ankle issues for the past month. He was carted to the locker room in the third quarter. It's yet another devastating loss for a Bears offense that has few starter-quality players left.
