Bills signed FB Jerome Felton to a four-year, $9.2 million contract.
The deal makes Felton the NFL's second-highest-paid fullback behind Mike Tolbert. It's not the flashiest free agent signing, but Felton is definitely going to help the Bills' run game. Felton's blocking expertise helped Adrian Peterson rush for over 2,000 yards in 2012. Felton's role diminished the past two seasons, but he remained an effective sledgehammer when put to use. The Bills reportedly hope to sign FB Jerome Felton.

Felton, the top free-agent fullback available, voided a $2.45M contract with the Vikings in order to hit the market. He'd be a nice addition for LeSean McCoy and Rex Ryan's run game.

Free agent FB Jerome Felton is open to returning to the Vikings.

Felton voided his $2.45 million player option earlier this month. He could be brought back at a reduced salary if Adrian Peterson remains in Minnesota. 28-year-old Felton played limited snaps in OC Norv Turner's scheme last year, but is still an effective lead blocker. Felton is Rotoworld's top free-agent fullback.

Vikings FB Jerome Felton has voided the final year of his contract, making him a free agent.

Felton had a $2.45 million player option. A 2008 fifth-rounder, Felton was limited to just 175 snaps last season as the Vikes moved away from the power-run game in Adrian Peterson's absence. Felton is one of the league's better lead blockers, but fullbacks rarely cash in on the open market.
Feb 3 - 6:00 PM

Vikings FB Jerome Felton is expected to void his contract, making him a free agent.

Felton has a $2.45 million player option for 2015. As the Vikings turned to a shotgun-heavy offense to suit Teddy Bridgewater, Felton's snaps were scaled back dramatically despite still-effective lead blocking when he's gotten the chance to play. He'd be a better fit on more of an I-formation team.

NFL suspended Vikings FB Jerome Felton three games for violating the league's substance abuse policy.

Felton was arrested for DUI last summer. His Week 1 status was already in some doubt due to an emergency appendectomy, so at least the brief ban will give Felton an opportunity to be 100-percent healthy upon his return. Felton earned Pro Bowl honors in 2012, clearing lanes in front of NFL leading rusher Adrian Peterson. Felton will be eligible to resume playing games in Week 4.

Vikings FB Jerome Felton will miss the rest of the preseason after undergoing an emergency appendectomy Wednesday.

Felton should be fully recovered in two weeks, but the Vikings are going to hold their Pro Bowl lead blocker out until the September 8 opener. Pro Football Focus graded Felton out as its No. 5 fullback last season, and the Vikings rewarded him with a three-year, $7.5 million extension in March.

Vikings re-signed FB Jerome Felton to a three-year, $7.5 million contract.

Felton was high on the Vikings' wish list, and they've gone all in to keep Adrian Peterson happy after trading Percy Harvin. Felton is one of the game's best lead-blockers.

The Star-Tribune expects the Vikings to lock up FB Jerome Felton before free agency opens.

This is a situation Adrian Peterson will be watching closely. Operating on a one-year "prove it" deal in 2012, Felton emerged as one of the game's best lead-blockers while helping pave the way for Peterson's remarkable 2,097-yard season. He'll have plenty of leverage in upcoming negotiations.

Free agent FB Jerome Felton says he'd like to remain in Minnesota, but acknowledged that testing the free-agent waters is appealing to him.

Plugged-in beat writer Tom Pelissero believes Felton could command about $3 million a year on the open market. Any lead blocker would be crazy to not try to max out when they have the chance because the position absorbs so many collisions. "This is my first real opportunity to hit the free agency like I wanted to," Felton said. "But I want to be here, so hopefully, it works out."

Vikings FB Jerome Felton, who was selected to this year's Pro Bowl, is an unrestricted free agent this offseason.

We realized Felton's last Rotoworld blurb was in June discussing an old DUI arrest, so we felt compelled to give him some updated love. Felton has been a beast this season, also earning praise from NFL Films analyst Greg Cosell. Like Vonta Leach a few offseasons back, 26-year-old Felton is going to be a hot commodity if the Vikings let him hit the market. Rotoworld's Evan Silva discusses Felton's impact -- along with Minnesota's stunning offensive line continuity -- in his Wild Card Matchups column, accessible at the link below.

NFL spokesman Greg Aiello confirmed the league is reviewing Vikings FB Jerome Felton's Saturday arrest for DUI.

Felton already had one DUI arrest within the past ten years. He's now subject to discipline under the NFL's personal conduct policy. Signed to a one-year, $700,000 contract, Felton won't be guaranteed a roster spot this summer.

Vikings FB Jerome Felton was arrested on DWI charges early Saturday in Hennepin County, Minn.

Felton was arrested in a McDonald's drive-thru after refusing to submit to a chemical test. He signed a one-year, $750,000 deal in March. A former fifth-round pick, Felton appeared in 14 games between the Colts and Panthers last season, and is (perhaps was) the favorite for lead-blocking duties in Minnesota.

Vikings signed FB Jerome Felton.

The Lions were high on Felton as a short-yardage option after selecting him in the fourth round of the 2008 draft. Five years later, he's still seeking an identity as a subpar lead blocker with mediocre running ability.
Tue, Mar 20, 2012 07:05:00 PM

The Vikings have scheduled a free agent visit with FB Jerome Felton.

Felton, 25, is a poor man's Le'Ron McClain who's yet to get extensive ball-carrying opportunities in the NFL. The Vikes showed interest in Felton when he was waived by Carolina last November. The Colts had a better waiver priority.
