NFL suspended Packers LE Letroy Guion for three games.

Guion was arrested in February for possession of marijuana and a firearm, but he paid a $5,000 fine and avoided prosecution. The NFL still came down with a three-game ban, which Guion is appealing. He was projected to start at one of the defensive end spots in the Packers' 3-4 base.
Jul 23 - 11:12 AM

Packers NT Letroy Guion is facing a civil suit over a 2013 altercation in which no criminal charges were filed.

The suit in Bradford County, Fla. has been filed by the boyfriend of the mother of Guion's child. It claims Guion struck the boyfriend in the head causing "physical pain, suffering and mental and emotional anguish" and that Guion allegedly sent threats of physical violence. This sounds like a classic case of someone coming after Guion's money. His agent vehemently denies the allegations.
Jul 3 - 10:59 AM

Packers agreed to terms with NT Letroy Guion on a one-year, $2.75 million contract.

27-year-old Guion was an 18-game starter for the Packers last season, posting career highs in tackles (62) and sacks (3.5) while holding up well against the run. He was arrested on Feb. 3 with 357 grams of marijuana, more than $190,000 in cash and a 9mm semi-automatic handgun in his truck, shutting down long-term extension talks. Guion somehow emerged with a mere fine and the Packers remained interested in a short-term deal despite the looming threat of league discipline.
Mar 30 - 9:08 AM

Free agent NT Letroy Guion visited with Seattle on Friday.

The Seahawks are Guion's first known visit. Guion should start to draw interest from teams now that his off-field situation is resolved. The Packers have also been in talks with Guion and remain his most likely landing spot.
Mar 27 - 6:01 PM

Coach Mike McCarthy confirmed the Packers remain interested in re-signing free agent NT Letroy Guion.

The Packers were working on a long-term deal with Guion before his February arrest. The sides will resume talks now that his legal situation is resolved. Guion was a 16-game starter and posted career highs in tackles (62) and sacks (3.5) last year. The Packers want Guion back despite his off-field concerns. Guion will be subject to a suspension under the league's personal conduct policy.
Mar 25 - 4:54 PM

The possession of marijuana case against free agent NT Letroy Guion was closed on Tuesday, and Guion has avoided prosecution.

Guion paid a $5,000 fine as a first-time offender, and the charges were dropped. The NFL can still punish Guion for violation of the personal conduct policy, but Guion should be able to find a job. He's hoping to re-sign with the Packers.
Mar 24 - 9:22 PM

Free agent NT Letroy Guion has agreed to a deferred prosecution deal resulting in probation.

Guion was arrested on Feb. 3 with 357 grams of marijuana, a registered gun and $190K in cash. If he completes the probation, he'll somehow emerge with a clean record. Still, Guion could be penalized under the personal conduct policy as the deal is essentially a guilty plea.
Mar 5 - 8:26 AM

Free agent NT Letroy Guion's arrest for felony possession of marijuana and a firearm is reportedly close to being resolved.

Officers seized 357 grams of marijuana, more than $190,000 in cash and a 9mm semi-automatic handgun from Guion's truck after a traffic stop on February 3. The handgun was registered in Minnesota. It is unclear what punishment Guion will face, but the settlement will reportedly include the return of Guion's property. Guion is a free agent.
Feb 21 - 10:38 AM

Packers coach Mike McCarthy said he would "love to have" free agent NT Letroy Guion back.

Guion was arrested early in February for felony possession of a firearm and marijuana. GM Ted Thompson says he is "monitoring" the situation. "(Guion) was an impactful personality and played good football for us," McCarthy said. "I'm hopeful, if we get past this and the monitoring gives us the green light to go forward, I'd love to have Letroy back." The Packers were discussing a long-term deal with Guion before the arrest.
Feb 19 - 8:42 PM

Packers NT Letroy Guion was arrested for felony possession of a firearm and marijuana in Starke, Fla. on Tuesday night.

It's apparently the NFL offseason. Three players were arrested overnight, including Colts ILB D'Qwell Jackson (assault) and Cowboys RB Joseph Randle (drugs). Guion was a steal for Packers GM Ted Thompson this past season, as he started all 18 games at nose tackle. The Packers had been in discussions to lock Guion up with a long-term deal before he hits free agency next month.
Feb 4 - 11:48 AM

The Packers are negotiating a long-term extension with NT Letroy Guion.

GM Ted Thompson stole Guion on a one-year, $1 million contract last March, and now hopes to make him Green Bay's nose tackle of the future. He posted career highs in tackles (62) and sacks (3.5) in 2014, also defending the run at a solid clip. Guion is 27. The Packers seem ready to move on from B.J. Raji.

Letroy Guion will be the Packers' starting nose tackle this season.

B.J. Raji (torn biceps) is out for the year. Guion missed most of camp with a hamstring injury, but has been practicing for the past week. Guion has good size but plays below-average run defense. It's a favorable matchup for Marshawn Lynch in Week 1. Guion will be flanked by Datone Jones and Mike Daniels.

Packers DT Letroy Guion (hamstring) returned to practice Monday.

Guion has missed all of training prior to today and was considered a strong candidate to open the season on reserve/PUP. The Packers won't be able to do that with Guion now that he's back at practice. They need the 27-year-old to step up now that they've lost NT B.J. Raji (torn biceps) for the season.
