Titans signed OLB Erik Walden to a one-year contract.
Walden is coming off a career-high 11 sacks with the Colts, but struggled to generate interest in free agency. Going on 32, Walden drew poor 2016 marks from Pro Football Focus despite his quarterback takedown total. The Titans tied for sixth in sacks last season with 40. Walden will compete for a spot as a rotational rusher behind Derrick Morgan and Brian Orakpo. Jul 27 - 1:45 PM

According to Brian Costello of the New York Post, the Jets have had talks with free agent OLB Erik Walden in "recent weeks."

Walden has generated a surprising lack of interest after leading the Colts with 11 sacks last season. The reluctance could be due to his age (he turns 32 in August) and lack of production prior to 2016. Walden, who has also drawn interest from Tennessee, may not be an ideal fit for a Jets team that's gone out of its way to get younger this offseason.

Free agent OLB Erik Walden remains on the Titans' radar.

Walden visited the Titans at the start of free agency, but he hasn't been heard from since. Entering his age-32 season, Walden had a big 2016 with 11 sacks but has otherwise been a mere rotational edge piece dating back to his time with the Packers and Colts. Walden should find a home at some point.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports free agent OLB Erik Walden is visiting the Titans on Monday.

Walden led the Colts with 11 sacks in 2016, but he has just one other season with more than three takedowns in his nine-year career. Going on 32 (in August), Walden will be nothing more than a rotational rusher behind Derrick Morgan and Brian Orakpo if he signs in Tennessee.

Free agent OLB Erik Walden tweeted Saturday that he won't be re-signing with the Colts.

The Colts are moving forward with John Simon and Jabaal Sheard on the edges. Walden posted a career-high 11 sacks last year, but NFL teams aren't just staring at his box score. He's approaching age 32 and has never been a dangerous pass rusher. Walden should still find a home as a rotational edge presence.

Colts OLB Erik Walden was treated at a Georgia hospital last weekend after being slashed in the arm with a knife by his ex-girlfriend.

Walden suffered minor injuries and was quickly treated and released from the hospital. But his new girlfriend suffered a broken arm when the ex hit her with a baseball bat. Walden allegedly had to wrestle a gun away from the attacker as he called 911. Walden has nine sacks across 29 starts the past two years.

Coach Chuck Pagano said OLB Erik Walden (hip) is "week to week."

Walden sustained a hip flexor injury in Sunday's loss at Pittsburgh. He'll almost certainly sit out Monday's game against the Giants and then rehab through the Week 10 bye. Walden has 24 tackles and three sacks through the first eight weeks.

Colts OLB Erik Walden left Sunday's Week 8 game at Pittsburgh with a hip injury.

Walden, a 2013 free agent bust from GM Ryan Grigson, was quickly ruled out for the game after going down. Walden had 21 tackles and three sacks in the first seven games of the year.

NFL suspended Colts OLB Erik Walden one game for headbutting Titans TE Delanie Walker in Week 11.

Wladen's suspension was upheld on Tuesday. Walden hasn't provided much pass rush this season, but he is a quality edge-setting run defender. Rookie Bjoern Werner will move into an every-down linebacker role in Week 12 against the Cardinals. Signed to a four-year, $16 million contract in the offseason, Walden has 28 tackles, two sacks, and a forced fumble on the season. He's started all ten of the Colts' games to this point.

Colts signed OLB Erik Walden to a four-year, $16 million contract.

27-year-old Walden is an outside pass rusher who managed nine sacks in Green Bay over the past three seasons. It's nothing short of stunning that the Colts are paying him $4 million a year, but Walden was told the club gave him "every expectation" he'll be the 2013 starter opposite Robert Mathis. The Packers didn't think much of Walden and tend to be awfully savvy player evaluators. This looks like one of the bigger overpays of the free-agency period so far.

Impending free agent OLB Erik Walden will have his disorderly conduct charge from a year ago dismissed on Friday.

Walden was charged with disorderly conduct in connection with a domestic dispute at his home last offseason and was later suspended by the NFL for one game as a result. Walden will hit the open market this offseason coming off a 46-tackle and three-sack campaign.

NFL suspended Packers OLB Erik Walden one game for violating the personal conduct policy.

The Packers were reportedly "disenchanted" with Walden after his November arrest for domestic violence. Walden's agent believes the looming suspension affected his client's market in free agency. Expected to play a reserve role this season, Walden is eligible to return to action in Week 2.

Packers re-signed OLB Erik Walden.

Walden, 27 in August, racked up 60 tackles, three sacks, and a forced fumble in 16 appearances with 15 starts last season. The Packers want to do better at the position opposite Clay Matthews, however, and Walden would ideally return only as a backup and special teamer. He's not starting material.

The agent for free agent OLB Erik Walden says he wants to re-sign with the Packers, but claims he's been in contact with "five or six teams."

Walden hasn't made any visits since the start of free agency, and is unlikely to return to a Packers team that reportedly grew "disenchanted" with him in 2011. His playing time dwindled following his November arrest for domestic assault. Walden graded out as one of the worst outside linebackers in the league by Pro Football Focus last season. The Cowboys are one of the teams interested.

The Packers have reportedly become "disenchanted" with free agent OLB Erik Walden.

Don't expect him back in Green Bay after a disappointing season. Brad Jones and Jamari Lattimore, a free agent from Middle Tennessee State, are expected to see expanded roles, including time at inside linebacker. Coach Mike McCarthy confirmed that the Packers plan to add at least one outside linebacker this offseason.
