Cardinals signed G Floyd Womack, formerly of the Browns.

"Pork Chop" helps fill the void left by Deuce Lutui in the desert. He started 24 games for the Browns over the last two seasons and provides versatility off the bench. The Cardinals' line won't be decimated at all by the loss of Lutui.

The Cleveland Plain-Dealer's Terry Pluto believes free agent RG Floyd "Pork Chop" Womack coud return to the Browns as backup in 2011.

Womack, now 32, can play either guard or tackle, and has started 24 games for the Browns over the past two seasons. He has a solid chance of being re-signed for depth.

Browns RG Floyd "Pork Chop" Womack (knee) returned to practice Wednesday and could play this weekend.

Womack sat out against the Jaguars in what was the Browns offensive line's worst performance of the season. Rookie Shawn Lauvao struggled in Womack's place, so Peyton Hillis and company have their fingers crossed that Womack will be ready to go.

Browns OG Floyd "Pork Chop" Womack will miss the remainder of the preseason after undergoing arthroscopic knee surgery.

This clears the way for rookie Shawn Lauvao to take over as the starting right guard. Lauvao and tackle John St. Clair held down the right side of the line while the Browns exploded for three TDs in the first quarter and a half Saturday night. LG Eric Steinbach can rest easily -- for now.

Floyd "Pork Chop" Womack is expected to beat out rookie Shawn Lauvao for the Browns' starting right guard job.

While Lauvao is clearly a better long-term prospect, the Browns have expressed a desire to bring him along slowly at guard after Lauvao played left tackle in college. In the meantime, Womack will attempt to provide veteran stability to allow for Jerome Harrison and Montario Hardesty to flourish.

Browns signed OT Floyd Womack, formerly of the Seahawks.

The eight-year veteran reserve can play anywhere on the line except center. He may be in line for some time at right tackle after the team's recent release of starter Kevin Shaffer.

Floyd Womack took first team reps at left and right guard at practice on Wednesday.

Coach Mike Holmgren has been strongly implying that he might shake things up in an effort to revitalize the running game in Seattle. Womack could replace Chris Gray or Rob Sims against Cleveland in Week 9.

Seahawks OL Floyd Womack will undergo a pair of arthroscopic knee surgeries to repair cartilage he damaged during practice Wednesday.

Free agent G Pork Chop Womack met with the Falcons on Wednesday.

No offensive lineman's job in Atlanta is safe what with a power running game being installed. Womack is a huge specimen who would fit the bill.
