Chiefs NT Anthony Toribio (doubtful, ankle) is not expected to play in Week 1.
Toribio was drawing the praises of coaches and beat writers early in camp and even earned the starting NT job ahead of first-rounder Dontari Poe. If it was 2011, this would probably be a bigger deal than it is now, but the Falcons don't figure to run the ball nearly as much as they have in the past. Chiefs NT Anthony Toribio has been "one of the most impressive performers" early in training camp.

Toribio has been so good over the first week that he's continued to run with the first team ahead of athletic first-rounder Dontari Poe. This year's Chiefs roster has quality depth at just about every position but the all-important quarterback.

Chiefs claimed NT Anthony Toribio off waivers from the Packers.

Kansas City is going to field perhaps the weakest defensive line in the game this year, but Toribio can at least provide depth. He goes 6'1/305.

Packers waived DT Anthony Toribio.

Toribio is expected to join the practice squad, but the Packers are deep on the interior of the defensive line these days. He'd need injuries to B.J. Raji and Ryan Pickett to get a look.

Packers signed DT Anthony Toribio off their practice squad.

Toribio got the call off the practice squad around this time as well last season. He'll be a backup with Ryan Pickett dealing with a hamstring injury.

Toribio went to training camp with Miami, but at 6'1/305 didn't make much sense in the Dolphins' 3-4. He'll be a little-used reserve for the Packers.

Undrafted Carson Newman DT Anthony Toribio has stood out at Dolphins minicamp.

Head Coach Tony Sparano was impressed by Toribio's size and strength. Toribio is pretty far down on the depth chart, but he's someone to keep an eye on for the future.
