A previous report stated Bailey had broken his ankle, but he broke his rib. He had been playing through a broken hand. Bailey underwent surgery on Wednesday, and the Titans have not announced a timetable for his return. Bailey is primarily a special teams player. He's only seen two snaps at linebacker this season.

Neither Bailey nor Shaw started a game for the Titans last season, but both are important special teams cogs. They will be back in Tennessee.

Titans LB Patrick Bailey suffered an apparent concussion in the third quarter of Sunday's opener.

Bailey got hurt chasing down Deji Karim on a kickoff, went down, and was attended to by trainers. He looked woozy after finally making it to the sideline. Bailey doesn't play in the base defense, but is a core special teamer.
