Titans signed TE Joey Haynos, formerly of the Jaguars.
28-year-old Haynos is a blocking tight end at 6-foot-8, 270. Likely just a camp body, he wouldn't be a threat for many receptions if he did make the roster. Wed, Aug 1, 2012 04:05:00 PM

Date:

Free agent TE Joey Haynos will try out for the Raiders this weekend.

He'll participate in Oakland's rookie minicamp. Haynos, a 6-foot-8, 270-pound blocking specialist, was out of the NFL last year after the Jags waived him.

The Cowboys recently tried out free agent TE Joey Haynos.

John Phillips will ascend to No. 2 on Dallas' tight end depth chart following Martellus Bennett's departure, but Haynos could battle for the No. 3 job.

Jaguars released TE Joey Haynos.

This is confirmation that Zach Miller (knee) will be ready for Week 1. Haynos will look to latch on as a blocking specialist elsewhere.

Jaguars signed TE Joey Haynos and waived OL Rob McGill.

Haynos missed all of last season with a Lisfranc fracture, but he's healthy now. The 27-year-old blocking specialist is probably just a camp body to use while Zach Miller nurses a knee injury. McGill was an undrafted rookie.

The injury that ended free agent TE Joey Haynos' season last August was a Lisfranc fracture.

Miami released Haynos after the injury. Now that Haynos is "healed and ready to go," the Dolphins are keeping tabs on him. He could be re-signed for a shot at a backup tight end role.

Dolphins waived/injured TE Joey Haynos.

Haynos sustained a right foot injury in Friday's preseason game. The Dolphins haven't revealed details, but it looked serious. The third-year tight end's season is over, and he'll be placed on injured reserve once he clears waivers.

Dolphins TE Joey Haynos left Friday night's exhibition contest with a right foot injury and is done for the day.

Miami's top blocking tight end behind Anthony Fasano, Haynos' injury didn't look good. He'll undergo an MRI on Saturday to determine the severity. His loss could give John Nalbone a shot to make the roster.

Dolphins re-signed exclusive rights free agent TE Joey Haynos.

Haynos, originally signed off the Packers practice squad in 2008, will return as Anthony Fasano's backup. He's stretched as anything more than a situational No. 2 tight end.

Dolphins offensive coordinator Dan Henning admits that Joey Haynos' effectiveness decreased when Anthony Fasano (hip) was out of the lineup.

Henning was probably referring to Haynos' blocking, which is a work in progress. During the two games that Fasano missed, Haynos caught three balls in one game and was held to no catches in another. His size (6'8/270) is enticing, but Haynos has a long way to go.

With David Martin (knee) on injured reserve, Joey Haynos is the Dolphins' No. 2 tight end.

Haynos will get on the field when the Dolphins run two-tight end packages. He's huge (6'8/270) and did catch one touchdown pass as a rookie. Haynos is no threat to Anthony Fasano.

The Dolphins are reportedly high on second-year TE Joey Haynos.

Haynos, a raw 6'8/270-pounder, was seen as an offensive tackle prospect by some coming out of Maryland in 2008. Haynos caught a touchdown pass as a rookie, but will probably never be more than a situational No. 2 tight end.
