Packers placed CB Josh Bell (foot) on injured reserve, ending his season.

Bell suffered a foot injury in practice last Saturday. X-rays were negative, but evidently the ailment was serious enough that the Packers felt they needed to free up a roster spot.

Bell is in his second season out of Baylor. He started five games for Denver last year in place of Champ Bailey but was released before the 2009 season after suffering a knee injury. Bell adds depth with Al Harris on I.R.

Undrafted Broncos rookie CB Josh Bell replaced Champ Bailey (groin, inactive) in the starting lineup on Sunday.

Bell, who was activated from the practice squad just three weeks ago, got the nod over Karl Paymah and fellow rookie Jack Williams and made five tackles. Paymah is in a contract year and his stock has dropped a ton this season.
