Steelers coach Mike Tomlin said K Garrett Hartley's availability for Week 1 against the Patriots "isn't looking good."

He suffered a hamstring injury Saturday against Buffalo and is headed for an MRI. Hartley signed earlier this month after going down with a torn ACL. It's been a rough camp for Pittsburgh kickers. Free agent Jay Feely worked out with the Steelers on Friday and could be the team's best option with Hartley sidelined.

Steelers signed K Garrett Hartley to a one-year contract.

Hartley replaces Shaun Suisham, who tore his ACL on Sunday night but was fantasy's No. 7 kicker a year ago. Hartley will have every opportunity to also be a viable fantasy asset as part of Pittsburgh's high-powered offense -- as long as he gets his accuracy issues under control. He was cut from the Saints in 2013 after missing eight field goals from 49 yards out or closer (including a 5-of-8 mark from 30-39 yards).

Browns released K Garrett Hartley.

The Browns brought Hartley off the street for the final two games of last year. He went 3-of-3 on field goals, upping his career mark to 85-of-104 (81.7 percent). The Browns now have Travis Coons and "Murder Leg" Carey Spear as kickers on their roster.

Browns signed K Garrett Hartley.

Hartley will replace a struggling Billy Cundiff as the Browns' primary kicker. Hartley went 22-of-30 on field goals with the Saints last year before being cut late in the season. Hartley has made 81.2 percent of his field goal attempts in his career.

The Browns brought in free agent Ks Garrett Hartley, Zach Hocker, and Nate Freese for workouts on Tuesday.

We're surprised it took Cleveland this long. Billy Cundiff is just 22-of-29 on the season and has missed a field goal in five straight games. Cundiff has come down with a case of the yips. He can't afford another miss.

Free agent K Garrett Hartley worked out for the Saints on Wednesday.

Shayne Graham missed his second field goal of the season, a 42-yard kick in the Superdome, in last week's blowout loss to the Panthers. Heads have begun to roll in New Orleans. Graham could be the next one out the door.

Free agent K Garrett Hartley worked out for the Titans on Wednesday.

The Titans seem poised to sign a new kicker. Hartley joined experienced veterans Jay Feely and Rian Lindell at the Titans workout.

Saints waived K Garrett Hartley.

Hartley had struggled for the better part of the season, but the Saints reached the breaking point in Sunday's loss to the Rams. Hartley shanked a 26-yard kick in domed Edward Jones Stadium, and had a 36-yard attempt blocked. Hartley was just 22-of-30 on the year, good for 30th in field-goal percentage. The Saints' full-time kicker since 2010, Hartley had gone through funks before, and been unusually injury prone for a kicker. The Saints have yet to announce his replacement. Hartley will likely resurface at some point.

Coach Sean Payton didn't rule out benching K Garrett Hartley for Week 16.

In the Week 15 loss at St. Louis, Hartley had a 36-yard field goal blocked and simply shanked a 26-yarder late in the game. He's now just 22-of-30 on the season, a mark that puts him 30th in the league in accuracy. Fantasy owners should be looking for more reliable options than Hartley even if Payton chooses to stay the course.

Garrett Hartley went 3-of-3 on field goals in Sunday's 23-20 Week 11 win over the 49ers.

Hartley came into the game having missed four of his last six attempts. But he was clutch in this one, making all three kicks with under eight minutes remaining in a close game. It should be a big boost of confidence for Hartley, who will be one of fantasy's best kicking options in the Week 12 Thursday night game at Atlanta.

Garrett Hartley has missed four of his last six field-goal attempts.

The Saints worked out five kickers this week in an effort to update their emergency list -- and send Hartley a message in the process. He missed a 37-yarder against the Cowboys on Sunday night. "My leg feels great," he said. "I'm striking a clean ball. Bouncing back, even after a game like [last Sunday's], when obviously I didn't strike the ball well and I know why. It's a simple fix." Hartley will still be a top-10 fantasy kicking option this week thanks to the Saints offense and the friendly confines of the Superdome.

Saints K Garrett Hartley triggered an escalator in his contract, raising his 2013 salary from $734,000 to $2.166 million.

Hartley made 18-of-22 field goals and all 57 extra point opportunities in 2012, a year after missing the entire season with a hip injury. He beat out veteran John Kasay for kicking duties in training camp. Hartley has three years left on his contract.

Saints special teams coordinator Greg McMahon has expressed no concern with K Garrett Hartley's missed kicks in consecutive games.

McMahon said Hartley is reacting well to the misses. The Saints have yet to discuss bringing back veteran Jon Kasay as competition for Hartley.

Garrett Hartley has won the Saints' placekicking job.

Hartley proved his health by going 6-of-7 in preseason games. He'll be a fantasy kicker to target thanks to the Saints' explosive offense and the friendly confines of the Superdome. In 27 career games with New Orleans, Hartley has made 42 total field goals and gone 10-of-11 from 40-49 yards out.
