The Browns are the latest team to deny interest in free agent Tim Tebow.
"Unfortunately, Tim has to get somewhere where he can develop his skills as a passer. Because in the NFL, it's a passing league," GM Mike Lombardi said. "And when you commit to Tim, like Denver did the last eight games of the season when Tim was playing, you're committing to that whole style of play. It's all or nothing and that becomes very difficult and that's kind of not the vision of where we're headed." The Browns will roll with Brandon Weeden and Jason Campbell this year, while keeping an eye out on the 2014 quarterback draft class. May 14 - 10:18 AM

The Philadelphia Soul have offered Tim Tebow a job as their backup quarterback.

This one is interesting because former Eagles quarterback and top-notch analyst Ron Jaworski is a co-owner of the Soul. He sent Tebow some plays he had in mind for him, mostly around the goal line. "One [criticism] of Tebow is that he is slow and methodical," Jaws said. "He would be forced to quicken it up in this league and it would be good training for him. You can learn a lot in this league. It's about processing information and getting the ball out...or you get whacked." Jaws did make it clear that Dan Raudabaugh would remain the Soul's starting quarterback no matter what. Tebow has zero known NFL suitors.

A source tells Yahoo Sports that Patriots coach Bill Belichick "hates" Tim Tebow as a player.

Even though Patriots OC Josh McDaniels drafted Tebow 25th overall in Denver, a reunion isn't happening. Flawed mechanics aren't the only reason Tebow has zero NFL suitors. "He seems like a great guy to have on a team, and I'd be tempted to bring him in as our backup," one NFC head coach told Yahoo. "But it's just not worth dealing with all the stuff that comes with it." Tebowmania strikes again.

GM David Caldwell once again reiterated that the Jaguars have zero interest in free agent Tim Tebow.

We're not sure how many more ways Caldwell can say he doesn't want Tebow. He told the owner during the interview process, he told the media at his introductory press conference and he's told the fans. That hasn't stopped an online petition from forming, telling him "to stop ignoring the Jaguars fans and sign Tim Tebow!"

Yahoo! Sports' Jason Cole reports free agent Tim Tebow would like to go to a team where he can sit and learn behind a great quarterback and coach.

There aren't many openings that meet Tebow's requests. Cole named the Saints as a "perfect" spot just as an example. Two other teams with an entrenched quarterback and winning coach are the Packers and Patriots. We wouldn't suspect Green Bay or New Orleans would be interested, but New England could be if Tebow is willing to broaden his horizons and learn a different position.

Agent Drew Rosenhaus said he "wouldn't be shocked" if the Dolphins signed free agent Tim Tebow.

Rosenhaus is based in South Florida and believes owner Stephen Ross is a fan of Tebow's. He also noted Ross' interest in marketing the Dolphins. If the Dolphins do give Tebow a look, it will have to be as a gadget player. He has no shot of beating out Matt Moore or even Pat Devlin for a backup role.

Profootballtalk reports free agent Tim Tebow is expected to be without an NFL team at least through rookie minicamps.

Rookie camps end on May 12, so don't expect Tebow to have a home at least until after then. It would surprise nobody if Tebow was left on the streets much longer than that. Several clubs have already denied interest in Tebow and the circus that comes along with him, and only an indoor football team that most have never even heard of -- the Omaha Beef -- has offered him a contract.

GM Tom Telesco said the Chargers are not interested in free agent Tim Tebow.

We're not going to blurb every team that isn't interested in Tebow because there wouldn't be room for any other news. But the Chargers have a connection in new head coach Mike McCoy, who was Tebow's Denver offensive coordinator when he beat the Steelers in the playoffs. At this point, the saga is becoming comical. Indoor football team Omaha Beef has offered Tebow a contract. When the Beef's starting quarterback, James McNear, was asked if he's insulted by the offer, he said: "I think Tim can learn a lot from me."
May 1 - 10:56 AM

Tim Tebow has officially cleared waivers and become a free agent.

No one was ever going to take on Tebow's $2.586 million salary, as well as the $1.531 million the Jets still owe the Broncos. In a vacuum, Tebow is talented enough to earn a flier as a gadget/backup player, but the never-ending media circus that follows him around like a shadow should severely limit his market. The Jets damaged Tebow's value off the field as much as they did on it.
Apr 30 - 4:50 PM

The Dolphins have refused comment on free agent Tim Tebow.

"Our decision-making process regarding player personnel is confidential and we don’t discuss it publicly," team spokesman Harvey Greene told PFT. The Dolphins are less than two years removed from their infamous "Tim Tebow Day" celebration, but are set at quarterback with Ryan Tannehill and Matt Moore. Although GM Jeff Ireland has done all he can to generate headlines this offseason, it's highly unlikely he adds Tebow to his burgeoning "Dream Team."

Sources tell the New York Post that Tim Tebow is still refusing to move to tight end.

The few teams that did contact the Jets were open to a trade only if Tebow was willing to play tight end. For now, he isn't. Perhaps Tebow will change his tune once he realizes he has little shot of being on an NFL roster as a quarterback come training camp. Virtually every team around the league has denied interest in the former Heisman Trophy winner.

The Jaguars reiterated that they have no interest in free agent Tim Tebow.

The Jags have long been linked to Tebow since he's from the area and they are short on quarterback talent. But the new regime is interested in winning games, not selling tickets. "The Jacksonville Jaguars' plans do not include Tim Tebow," their spokesman said. When new GM David Caldwell was hired, he told team owner Shad Khan the same thing. That stance is unchanged even though Tebow is now a free agent.

ESPN Boston's Mike Reiss wouldn't rule out the Patriots pursuing free agent Tim Tebow.

Reiss was quick to add that he has "no inside information that the team has even a small level of interest." Coach Bill Belichick's admiration for Tebow is well-documented, while OC Josh McDaniels is the man responsible for making him a first-round pick in 2010. Despite those obvious connections, however, the Pats would likely be extremely wary of taking on Tebow and the travelling circus that follows him from stop to stop. The Bucs, Eagles and 49ers have all said they're not interested since Tebow was waived early Monday morning.

Apr 29 - 11:48 AM

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports "more than one team asked" free agent Tim Tebow if he was willing to play tight end after he was placed on the trade block, but he refused.

This contradicts CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora's report that Tebow is willing to take on a new position following his release. It's possible that Tebow was unwilling to switch positions, but has now seen the light. Even with the read option taking over football, Tebow is going to draw scant interest as a quarterback.
Apr 29 - 9:17 AM

Jets waived QB Tim Tebow.

And so ends one of the most ill-advised experiments in NFL history. Tebow was informed of the move after reporting to work out Monday morning. He'll pass through waivers unclaimed. Tebow is just 15 months removed from leading the Broncos to a Wild Card win over the Steelers, but was miserable in the Jets' spitball offense last season, attempting only eight total passes while averaging 3.2 yards per carry. Tebow could still help a team that has an actual idea of how to use him, but isn't an NFL starting quarterback. He's reportedly open to a position switch, but the crushing media hype that surrounds him will make teams very leery of taking a flier. The Montreal Alouettes own his CFL rights. The Jets are methodically moving on from the myriad mistakes of the Mike Tannenbaum era. Releasing Mark Sanchez will likely be next.
