Browns signed G Stanley Daniels, G Jarrod Shaw, RB Armond Smith, WR Owen Spencer, OT Dominic Alford, LB Craig Robertson and S David Sims to reserve/future contracts.
Daniels appeared in seven games for the Broncos in 2010, starting four, but didn't make an NFL appearance in 2011. Smith was shuttled back and forth between the active roster and practice squad, carrying the ball three times for two yards. Sims was briefly on the Bucs' active roster. Denver was forced to make room on the roster for newly-signed K Steven Hauschka, who will fill in for the injured Matt Prater (groin). Daniels started four of the seven games he was active for the Broncos in 2010.

Broncos beat writer Jeff Legwold suggests that the one offensive starting position open for the Broncos' is at left guard.

Said coach Josh McDaniels, "There's a lot of guys still competing for that job . . . we've not given the job to anybody." Stanley Daniels will start at LG Sunday night against the Lions, while Zane Beadles, who has started the first two preseason games, will see time at guard and tackle.

Broncos claimed OG Stanley Daniels off waivers from the Packers.

At 6'4/320, Daniels projects as a better fit in the Broncos' new power scheme as opposed to Green Bay's zone-blocking system. The 25-year-old former undrafted free agent from Washington remains a 53-man roster long shot.
