Giants signed WR Kevin Ogletree.
Ogletree, who caught 13 passes in 12 games for the Lions last season, will round out the Giants' newly Victor Cruz-less receiver corps. We suppose Ogletree could eventually get on the field for the G-Men, but it goes without saying that he has zero fantasy upside. Oct 14 - 7:24 PM

Free agent WR Kevin Ogletree worked out for the Giants on Tuesday.

The Giants are in the market for wideout help after losing Victor Cruz (knee) for the season on Sunday. Ogletree would bring up the rear of the receiver corps, and would remain off the radar in all formats of fantasy.

Lions released WR Kevin Ogletree.

The move clears a spot for CB Mohammed Seisay on the 53-man roster. Ogletree's release means Ryan Broyles could be active this week.
Sep 20 - 5:07 PM

The Detroit Free Press considers Kevin Ogletree the favorite for the Lions' No. 3 receiver job.

It's just a reminder that the Lions still have serious depth issues at wideout even after signing Golden Tate. They'll be in trouble if Tate or Calvin Johnson gets hurt. Ogletree is competing with Kris Durham, Ryan Broyles and Jeremy Ross. Whoever wins the job won't have any fantasy value.
Jul 31 - 6:57 PM

Lions WR Kevin Ogletree has "spent time" with the first-team offense during the first two days of training camp.

Ogletree is competing with the likes of Kris Durham, Ryan Broyles, and Jeremy Ross for the third receiver role in Detroit. Though he seems like the front runner now, Ogletree will carry little fantasy value even if he wins the job. The Lions love to utilize their running backs in the passing game, and rookie TE Eric Ebron should see most of his snaps in the slot this season.

Lions re-signed WR Kevin Ogletree to a one-year, $795,000 deal.

The deal includes $100,000 guaranteed. Ogletree caught 13 passes in 12 games for the Lions last season. He's currently near the top of the depth chart, but that should change by the time the draft is through.
Mar 11 - 4:07 PM

Lions WR Kevin Ogletree caught five balls for 75 yards in Detroit's Week 17 loss to Minnesota.

Ogletree drew the Week 17 start with Calvin Johnson (knee) inactive, getting the nod across from Nate Burleson with Kris Durham playing in three-wide sets. A free agent in 2014, Ogletree won't be coveted on the free agent market.

Kevin Ogletree caught a 20-yard touchdown in Detroit's Week 13 win over the Packers.

The score was Ogletree's lone catch of the afternoon, and his first since Week 8. It's quite possible it will be his last of the season.

Lions signed WR Kevin Ogletree.

Ogletree was released by the Bucs on Tuesday because he is an ineffective receiver. Not familiar with Lions OC Scott Linehan's offense, Ogletree could easily be cut next week without ever playing a snap in Detroit. He's likely to be inactive for Week 5 against the Packers.

Bucs released WR Kevin Ogletree.

Ogletree was third on the team in catches (8), targets (21) and yards (70). Perhaps there's more to this story, but it looks like he was cut after too many drops. The Bucs will promote Chris Owusu from the practice squad to take Ogletree's place.

Kevin Ogletree caught five passes for 30 yards in Tampa's Week 4 loss to the Cardinals.

The five catches more than doubled Ogletree's season total (six) coming into Week 4. With 70 yards through four games, Ogletree remains a fantasy nonentity.

Kevin Ogletree caught one pass for five yards in Sunday's Week 2 loss to the Saints.

Operating as the No. 3 receiver, Ogletree was targeted on two unsuccessful deep bombs. He was held without a catch or target in Week 1.

Kevin Ogletree is expected to open the season as the Bucs' No. 3 receiver.

Ogletree will see the majority of his playing time as an outside receiver in three-wide sets, with Vincent Jackson moving to the slot. It's a position that has little upside in OC Mike Sullivan's offense. Through three preseason games, Ogletree has 10 receptions for 114 yards (11.4 YPC) and one touchdown. The Bucs lack quality receiver depth, but he'll be pushed for snaps by Tiquan Underwood.

Kevin Ogletree led the Bucs with five catches for 65 yards in Thursday night's preseason opener against the Ravens.

Ogletree was first in line for three-wide sets alongside Vincent Jackson and Mike Williams, running ahead of Chris Owusu and Tiquan Underwood. Unfortunately for Ogletree, the third receiver in Tampa's offense holds scant fantasy value.

The Tampa Bay Times projects Kevin Ogletree as the Bucs' primary kick and punt returner.

Roscoe Parrish served as the Bucs' return man last season, but he wasn't re-signed. Ogletree has returned just 20 kicks and three punts in his four-year career, so he doesn't have a ton of experience. Tampa Bay did acquire speedster Jeff Demps from the Patriots during the draft, but his status is up in the air due to Demps' preference for track and field.
