Bengals re-signed WR Brandon LaFell to a two-year, $9 million contract.
LaFell was not stellar during his first year with the Bengals, but he did manage 64 catches for 862 yards and six touchdowns including decent showings when A.J. Green was out with an injury late in the season. Still, the Bengals' passing game suffered from a lack of weapons in 2016, and re-signing LaFell is not enough to fix those issues. The Cincinnati Enquirer reports the Bills and Bears are interested in free agent Brandon LaFell, but that re-signing him is a "priority" for the Bengals.

Beat writer Jim Owczarski reports things are "moving well" between LaFell and his 2016 club. Now on the wrong side of 30, LaFell rebounded from an awful 2015 in New England last season. He'd be a needed big target for both Chicago and Buffalo.

Brandon LaFell caught 7-of-11 targets for 67 yards in the Bengals' Week 17 win over the Ravens.

In the absence of A.J. Green and Tyler Eifert, LaFell had some target-monster moments in his age-30 campaign, finishing it with 64 receptions for 862 yards (13.5 YPR) and six touchdowns. He was also one of the Bengals' best blocking receivers. LaFell is an impending free agent and should be cheap for the Bengals to retain.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports Brandon LaFell needs three catches and five yards Week 17 against the Ravens to reach two separate incentives in his contract.

The catches will earn LaFell an extra $300,000 for reaching 60, and the yards will net him $200,000 for breaking the 800-yard barrier. With A.J. Green and Tyler Eifert out, it would be shocking if he did not hit both incentives, but it is still nice to know he has some extra motivation in what amounts to a meaningless game.

Brandon LaFell caught 6-of-10 targets for 130 yards and a touchdown in Week 16 against the Texans.

LaFell continued to be featured with A.J. Green and Tyler Eifert sidelined. He out ran the entire secondary on a pass over the middle of the field for an 86-yard TD. LaFell is the only reliable target in the Bengals offense. He’ll take a 57/795/5 line into Week 17.

Brandon LaFell caught 7-of-9 targets for 91 yards Week 15 against the Steelers.

LaFell opened the game on fire, catching four of Andy Dalton’s first five completions and finishing the half with 77 yards on six receptions. He also drew a long defensive pass interference in the end zone which set up Dalton’s rushing score. The offense stalled after the break, however, and LaFell was held to one catch in the second half. Unfortunately, LaFell’s days of fantasy relevance are likely coming to an end with A.J. Green expected back Saturday night against the Texans. If Green sits, however, LaFell will be worth a look as a top-36 option.

Brandon LaFell (knee) was a full participant at Thursday's practice.

It's an upgrade for LaFell, who was limited at Wednesday's practice. He'll be a full go Sunday against Pittsburgh. LaFell has maintained WR3 status throughout A.J. Green's absence.

It's the same procedure LaFell has been following the past couple weeks. He'll be fine to play his normal role as a WR3 this week against the Steelers.

Brandon LaFell collected three catches for 22 yards on six targets Sunday in the Bengals' Week 14 win over the Browns.

He was nowhere to be found in the first half, snagging just one catch for two yards. LaFell tied for the team lead in targets (six) but finished with fewer receiving yards than Tyler Boyd, Tyler Eifert and Jeremy Hill. LaFell enjoyed a strong game in Week 13 (five catches for 95 yards and a touchdown vs. Philadelphia), but he’s been much more miss than hit this year. He’ll be nothing more than a WR4 next week against the Steelers, and maybe even less than that if A.J. Green returns from his hamstring injury.

LaFell is coming off his most productive game, posting a 5/95/1 line on the Eagles. His knee injury shouldn't keep him out Sunday. LaFell has 16 targets over the last two weeks with A.J. Green sidelined. He's in the WR3 mix for Week 14.

Brandon LaFell caught 5-of-7 targets for 95 yards and one touchdown in the Bengals' Week 13 win over the Eagles.

He's now seen 16 targets in the two games A.J. Green (hamstring) has been out. LaFell's touchdown came in the back of the end zone from eight yards out. Among the Bengals' receivers, LaFell is clearly Andy Dalton's favorite option in the red zone if the ball isn't going to Tyler Eifert. He'll be on the WR3 map next week in a dream date with the Browns on the road.

Extremely inefficient all year, LaFell's high-volume target totals don't ensure that he'll pay off as a fantasy start. LaFell only hits as a fantasy option when he scores touchdowns, something he has not been doing since Tyler Eifert got healthy. LaFell will be a low-end WR4 option in Week 13 versus Philadelphia.

LaFell was just getting a day of rest on Wednesday. The Bengals' default No. 1 receiver in A.J. Green's absence, LaFell is a high-floor, low-ceiling WR4.
