Louis Murphy woke up early this past Saturday morning and found himself locked inside Flagler Museum after attending a wedding there the night before.
Murphy was at the wedding of college teammate and current Bears WR Deonte Thompson. He apparently had too much to drink, walked out to the courtyard, passed out on a set of stairs, woke up and everyone had left. He broke a small window at the museum to get out and call the police for assistance. Murphy isn't being charged with a crime, but it's a funny story nonetheless. Jul 6 - 2:04 PM

Louis Murphy (knee) is expected to be ready for training camp.

Six months into his ACL rehab, Murphy shouldn’t see more than limited OTA work. He’ll compete for a role behind Mike Evans/Vincent Jackson if he avoids setbacks. Kenny Bell is the favorite to open the season as Tampa’s No. 3 receiver.

Bucs WR Louis Murphy (injured reserve) underwent surgery on his torn right ACL Thursday.

It's been nearly four weeks since Murphy went down. Going on 29, Murphy will be questionable for Week 1. His $1.5 million 2016 salary is reasonable, but it's still possible he's asked to take a pay cut, or is simply cut loose.

Bucs No. 3 WR Louis Murphy confirms he has a torn right ACL, and will miss the rest of the season.

The seven-year veteran is headed to injured reserve. His loss thrusts UDFA Donteea Dye into No. 3 duties, and ups for the urgency for Austin Seferian-Jenkins' (shoulder) return. Due $1.5 million next season, Murphy turns 29 in May. It's quite possible he'll get released ahead of the new league year.

Pewter Report reports the Bucs believe Louis Murphy's knee injury is a torn ACL.

It sounds like the Bucs' No. 3 receiver is done for the season. Murphy's absence would thrust UDFA Donteea Dye into No. 3 duties behind Mike Evans and Vincent Jackson. Austin Seferian-Jenkins' (shoulder) return can't come soon enough for the Bucs.

Louis Murphy exited the Buccaneer's Week 7 game against the Redskins with a knee injury and will not return.

Murphy injured himself at the end of a 29-yard catch early in the first quarter. He was spotted on crutches in the locker room after the game. Murphy's absence will open up even more targets for Vincent Jackson and Mike Evans.

Louis Murphy caught 3-of-4 targets for 26 yards in Tampa Bay's Week 4 loss to the Panthers.

With 25 percent of the season in the books, Murphy is on pace for 36 catches and 676 yards. We'd take the under on the latter.

Louis Murphy caught 3-of-6 targets for 61 yards in the Bucs' Week 3 loss to the Texans.

Murphy actually out-produced Vincent Jackson, out-targeting him 6-4 and out-gaining Jackson 61-40. Mike Evans hogged nearly half (17) of Jameis Winston's 36 pass attempts. Murphy is the Bucs' big-play threat as the No. 3 receiver.

Louis Murphy managed 82 yards on three catches in Week 2 against the Saints.

Murphy was left wide open for 54-catch against broken coverage. His only other notable play was a pass interference call in the end-zone. Murphy is locked in as the Bucs' No. 3 receiver behind Mike Evans and Vincent Jackson.

Louis Murphy will start in place of Mike Evans (hamstring) Week 1 against the Titans.

He'll line up opposite Vincent Jackson on the outside with Russell Shepard and Adam Humphries sharing time in the slot. Murphy secured 31 of his 57 targets last year for 380 yards and two touchdowns. Fantasy owners who foolishly put all their eggs in the Evans basket may have to settle for Murphy as a streaming option, though we wouldn't recommend it.

Louis Murphy could start opposite Vincent Jackson in Week 1.

Murphy is expected to be the No. 2 receiver if Mike Evans (questionable, hamstring) doesn’t play, but wouldn't be higher than the fourth pass-game option. He isn’t more than a low-end streamer. Murphy had 11 catches, 66 yards, and a touchdown in three starts last year.

Bucs coach Lovie Smith said WR Louis Murphy "has a role for us."

Murphy reeled in all four of his targets for 54 yards in the preseason opener. "We’ve gotten consistent play like that from Louis throughout," Smith said. "He’s been a valuable guy for us, a guy that we really could depend on." Murphy gave up some of his cushion on Kenny Bell and Robert Herron by missing the first 11 training camp practices with an ankle injury, but he is still expected to open the season as the No. 3 receiver.

Bucs WR Louis Murphy missed the first 11 training camp practices with an ankle injury.

He made his camp debut on Wednesday. Signed to a three-year contract extension through 2017 in December, Murphy figured to have the edge for No. 3 receiver duties, but rookies Kenny Bell and Rannell Hall and last year's sixth-rounder Robert Herron have emerged as true competition for Murphy.

Buccaneers signed WR Louis Murphy to a three-year contract extension through 2017.

Murphy was set to become a free agent in March. In his first season with Tampa Bay, he caught 31 balls for 380 yards and two touchdowns behind Mike Evans and Vincent Jackson before being placed on I.R. with an ankle injury. It must not be very serious. With Jackson's future up in the air with the Bucs, Murphy could potentially see an increased offensive role opposite Evans in 2015.

Bucs placed WR Louis Murphy on injured reserve with an ankle injury, ending his season.

The severity of Murphy's injury is unknown, but even a minor ailment would land him on I.R. with only two games remaining. Signed off the street in September after being cut loose following training camp, Murphy went on to be reasonably productive as the Bucs' No. 3 receiver, posting a 31/380/2 line across 11 games. Going on 28, he'll fight for someone's final receiver spot in 2015.
