Unger also tweaked his knee when he was rolled up from behind in the fourth quarter. Unger was only in his second game back after missing four weeks with a foot injury. Unger had his left leg rolled up from behind. He stayed down on the field for several minutes before being carted off. He is doubtful to return. Only in his second game back from a foot injury that sidelined him four weeks, Unger is a vital piece of the Seahawks' offensive line. Patrick Lewis replaced him at center.

Seahawks C Max Unger (foot) will play against the Giants Week 10.

Unger has been inactive since injuring his foot against the Redskins Week 5. Steve Schilling and Patrick Lewis both struggled in his place. The return of Unger along with the expected return of LT Russell Okung should provide a big boost to the struggling Seahawks offense.

Seahawks C Max Unger (arm) is expected to play Sunday against the Titans.

Seahawks C Max Unger triggered an escalator in his contract, raising his 2013 salary from $4 million to $4.9 million.

Unger just signed an extension last offseason. He went on to start all 16 games in 2012, earning a first-team All-Pro selection and making his first Pro Bowl team. Pro Football Focus graded him out as the No. 3 center in the NFL. The former Oregon Duck is signed through 2016.

Seahawks signed C Max Unger to a multi-year extension.

26-year-old Unger, a second-round pick in the 2009 draft, overcame durability issues in 2011 to start 15 games, grading out as Pro Football Focus' No. 17 overall center. PFF rated Unger as a strong pass blocker, but below-average run blocker. The Seahawks believe they've found their center of the future, and weren't going to risk losing Unger to free agency in 2013. Seattle's offensive line has a lot of potential this season, but it must stay healthy. Durability has been an issue at all five positions over the past few years, and we placed the O-Line 25th in our May rankings. A link to that column can be accessed below.
