CSN Bay Area's Matt Maiocco reports 49ers RG Alex Boone would be open to a trade out of San Francisco.

Boone has no plans to show up for any voluntary workouts in hopes of a new contract, as he's currently scheduled to earn $3.4 million in the final year of his deal. He'd welcome a trade in the event he gets a long-term contract. If the 49ers don't trade Boone, he reportedly plans to attend training camp.

49ers RG Alex Boone was a no-show for voluntary workouts this week.

Here we go again. Boone held out for the entire offseason program last year before reporting to the team just ahead of Week 1. He earned a pay raise out of the stunt and this time around appears to be looking for a brand new contract in the final year of his deal. PFF's No. 17 guard last season, Boone turns 28 next week.

49ers RG Alex Boone will be active for Sunday's opener at Dallas.

Particularly with San Francisco shorthanded at right tackle -- Anthony Davis is out with a hamstring injury -- we suspect Boone will start despite missing almost all of training camp on a contract holdout. The Niners will start Jon Martin at right tackle against Dallas' league-worst defensive line.

49ers coach Jim Harbaugh said it's uncertain whether RG Alex Boone will play in Sunday's opener against the Cowboys.

Boone reported to the 49ers this week after holding out the entire preseason. He's been able to stay in shape despite not practicing and should start in Week 1. Boone can make a max of $8 million over the next two years.

49ers RG Alex Boone expects to start Sunday's opener against the Cowboys.

Boone reported only two days after holding out for the entirety of training camp and the preseason, but stayed in shape. Perhaps he'll check out for a breather or two, but Boone won't be eased in. Boone graded out as Pro Football Focus' No. 39 overall guard a season ago.

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, 49ers RG Alex Boone is expected to report within the next 24 hours with a reworked two-year deal.

Boone's months-long holdout is finally over and he's emerged with a victory. His total compensation increases from $3.7 million over the next two years to a max of $8 million, he got all fines and bonus forfeitures stemming from the holdout waived and he will be an unrestricted free agent in 2016. The 49ers will not be able to use the franchise tag on him. It's clear the 49ers, perhaps scared by a shaky preseason, caved off their stance of not negotiating with holdouts.

The San Jose Mercury News reports there's been "no movement" in contract talks between the 49ers and holdout RG Alex Boone.

Boone's leverage has been on the rise as the 49ers' offense misfires in the preseason, but the team apparently isn't ready to cave. If they aren't caving after Sunday's shaky display, they almost certainly won't before Week 1. Boone can keep biding his time, but he's not the only one prepared to play hardball.

CSN Bay Area's Matt Maiocco reports the 49ers are "not interested" in trading holdout RG Alex Boone.

Per Maiocco, interested teams have inquired about Boone. The 49ers are holding firm. Either they're willing to cave in to Boone's demands soon, or they're simply willing to continue to not pay Boone as he sits at home. Boone doesn't count against the 90-man roster and won't for as long as he holds out. San Francisco will continue to trot out Joe Looney at right guard in the meantime.

CBS' Jason La Canfora reports there's been "no progress" in contract talks between the 49ers and holdout RG Alex Boone.

There were conflicting reports Monday about whether Boone had turned down an offer that would put him amongst the league's 12 highest-paid guards. Per La Canfora, "more teams" have been expressing trade interest in the disgruntled interior lineman. It doesn't look like he's going to blink before Week 1, putting the onus squarely on the 49ers.

NFL.com's Gil Brandt reports holdout 49ers RG Alex Boone turned down an offer that would have made him one of the 12 highest-paid guards in the league.

There's been near radio silence on the Boone-holdout front, but it's an indication the 49ers are willing to cave. Boone appears in it to win it, and perhaps willing to miss regular-season games. Third-year pro Joe Looney is the 49ers' fallback plan. The 2012 fourth-rounder has just four career appearances to his name.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports the Bucs are interesting in trading for 49ers holdout RG Alex Boone.

Rapoport says the Bucs' preference is to "build from within," but there is "real interest" in Boone at the "right price." That price would probably be a mid-round pick. The Bucs are in win-now mode and need to protect 35-year-old statue Josh McCown. After a disastrous preseason opener from the interior of Tampa's line, GM Jason Licht needs to explore every avenue possible. Boone is a dominant blocker and would instantly fortify the Bucs' front five.

CSN Bay Area's Matt Maiocco confirms "multiple teams" are interested in trading for 49ers holdout RG Alex Boone.

It's been speculated that the Buccaneers are among them. Maiocco reports Boone still "does not plan on reporting to the 49ers without a new contract." The 27-year-old Ohio State alum is owed just $2 million in base salary this season.

ESPN 49ers reporter Bill Williamson reports the feeling around the league is "multiple teams" are interested in trading for holdout RG Alex Boone.

Williamson is unsure if the 49ers are willing to deal Boone, saying the team is more interested in good 2014 guard play than a draft pick. Boone is unlikely to back down, though, and there have been no visible signs the sides are anywhere close to a deal. At some point San Francisco may decide to simply cut its losses. Joe Looney has been filling in at right guard in Boone's absence.

The Sacramento Bee reports the 49ers recently reached out to holdout RG Alex Boone, but Boone "remains resolute in his stance."

The 49ers have about $10 million in cap space, while Boone is the 43rd-highest paid guard in the league and wants to be paid like a starter. Joe Looney has been filling in at right guard during Boone's absence. He's reportedly looked pretty good. It's unclear if the 49ers plan to buckle and work out a new deal with Boone. But he's apparently ready to stay home until then.
