Patriots agreed to terms with OG Tyronne Green, formerly of the Chargers.
A 2009 fourth-round pick of the Chargers, Green started 28 games for the Bolts, including 13 at left guard in 2012. He graded out as just the No. 41 guard in Pro Football Focus' ratings, and was a liability as a run blocker. He'll fight for a reserve job behind Logan Mankins and Dan Connolly in New England. Chargers LG Tyronne Green aggravated his hamstring in Sunday's loss to the Bengals.

Green first went down in Week 11, and missed Week 12. The Bolts also lost RT Jeromey Clary against the Bengals, and could be severely shorthanded along the line in Week 14. Rex Hadnot will get the call if Green can't suit up.

Chargers LG Tyronne Green (hamstring) is not expected to play Week 12.

Green pulled his hammy while chasing down a Philip Rivers interception during last week's loss to the Broncos. He'll be replaced by veteran Rex Hadnot, who has 93 career starts under his belt.

Chargers coach Norv Turner has declared Tyronne Green the team's starting left guard.

As expected. Incumbent Kris Dielman retired, opening up the door for the 26-year-old Green. Entering the final year of his rookie deal, this is the 2009 fourth-round pick's best shot at earning a long-term starting gig.

Tyronne Green is "penciled in" as the Chargers' starting left guard following Kris Dielman's retirement.

Streamlining his body at LeCharles Bentley's O-Line Academy in Cleveland, Green is 25 pounds lighter than when he arrived at training camp out of shape last summer. Green is entering the final year of his rookie contract, so his play this season will determine whether he nails down a long-term job.

Backup OG Tyronne Green is reportedly "highly regarded" by the Chargers coaching staff.

Team president Dean Spanos has announced offensive line as the top priority. With LG Kris Dielman retiring, the picture up front is even bleaker. Having started 15 games over the past three years, Green will take over at left guard if the Chargers can't find a substantial upgrade.

Tyronne Green will be given a legitimate shot to beat out Louis Vasquez for the Chargers right guard job.

The two guards are expected to share reps in camp for at least a week or two. Vasquez has the edge as the incumbent, but dealt with knee and neck injuries in 2010. Regardless, the continuity along San Diego's offensive line is good news for Philip Rivers and Ryan Mathews. All five starters are back.

With Marcus McNeill holding out and Brandyn Dombrowski and Tra Thomas banged up, fourth-round rookie Tyronne Green is now working as the first-team left tackle at Chargers training camp.

We were already concerned with Philip Rivers' protection, and the problems are getting worse. Green, a converted defensive tackle from Auburn, stands a squatty 6'2/308 and played guard and center in his final two years for the Tigers. It's time to consider avoiding Rivers in the early rounds of drafts.

Chargers agreed to terms with guard Tyronne Green on a four-year contract.

Green has played guard and center during minicamp season. He's a powerful player, and is something of a sleeper from San Diego's draft class. He will take time to develop.

Chargers selected Auburn G Tyronne Green with the No. 133 overall pick in the NFL Draft.

Green was announced as an "NT," or nose tackle. He did play defensive tackle early in his college career, but finished out at guard so we're assuming it was a mistake. The Bolts will keep Jeromey Clary at right tackle this season. Green will be in the mix to replace RG Mike Goff.

Auburn OG Tyronne Green pulled out of the Combine Saturday after pulling his groin on his first forty-yard dash attempt.

An underrated prospect, Green will not participate in anymore drills on Saturday. The converted defensive tackle benched 225 22 times a day earlier.
