Redskins signed TE Richard Quinn, CB Ryan Mouton, DB Peyton Thompson, and P Robert Malone to reserve/futures contracts.

Quinn missed the entire 2013 season after being released by the Bengals and Cardinals during final cuts. Mouton is a former third-round slot corner that spent training camp with the Redskins. All four players will participate in Washington's offseason program.

Cardinals signed TE Richard Quinn, formerly of the Bengals.

The Cards need tight end bodies with Rob Housler nursing a high ankle sprain. Quinn is strictly a blocker. They also cut TE Mickey Shuler and S Javon Harris.

Bengals released TE Richard Quinn, K/P Quinn Sharp, WR Jheranie Boyd, DT Vaughn Meatoga, CB Terrence Brown, and LB Jordan Campbell.

Quinn is a former Josh McDaniels-Broncos second-round pick out of UNC. He's been a complete NFL flop. There are no surprises among this group.

Bengals re-signed TE Richard Quinn.

Quinn wasn't tendered an offer as a restricted free agent last week, but he's coming back at the veteran's minimum. A former second-round pick by Josh McDaniels in Denver, Quinn was a healthy inactive on a regular basis last season. He has one career catch in 30 games played.

Bengals re-signed TE Richard Quinn.

Quinn, a blocker, has been doing the roster dance as the Bengals sort out their depth at cornerback. He was waived just before last week's win over the Jags.

Bengals waived TE Richard Quinn.

Quinn was signed at the start of September and is purely a blocking specialist. He was a 2009 second-round bust by Josh McDaniels' Broncos. The move was made to clear room for practice squad cornerback Chris Lewis-Harris.

Bengals signed TE Richard Quinn.

A second-round bust by the 2009 Josh McDaniels Broncos, Quinn is purely a blocking specialist. His signing suggests the Bengals may have doubts about Jermaine Gresham's (knee) availability for the season opener.

Redskins signed TE Richard Quinn.

Quinn is a blocking specialist that will act as depth with Fred Davis (suspension) and Chris Cooley (knee) done for the year.
Tue, Dec 13, 2011 12:04:00 PM

Broncos released TE Richard Quinn with an injury settlement.

He's a free agent now. A complete bust as the No. 64 overall pick in the 2009 draft, Quinn ends his Broncos career with one catch for nine yards in 29 appearances. Quinn was drafted by the Josh McDaniels regime in Denver, so it's fair to wonder if the Rams will give him a look. Current St. Louis blocking specialist Michael Hoomanawanui spends too much time on the shelf.

Broncos waived/injured TE Richard Quinn.

Quinn tore his MCL in practice earlier in the month. A surprise second-round pick during Josh McDaniels' debacle of a head-coaching tenure, Quinn has added nothing to the Broncos in three seasons. His removal from the roster should still give rookie Julius Thomas a better shot to secure a big role early.

Broncos TE Richard Quinn underwent an MRI on Wednesday to check for damage to the MCL in his knee.

Quinn suffered the injury in Tuesday's full-padded practice, and the results of the MRI are unknown. He's already been ruled out for Denver's preseason opener. Quinn's roster spot is not secure with Julius Thomas coming on quickly.

The Broncos reportedly released Daniel Graham in part due to their belief that Richard Quinn is ready to step in as the blocking tight end.

That sounds like praise for Quinn, but it had more to do with Graham's salary and declining play. After catching just 12 passes in three years at North Carolina, Quinn has one reception in two years with Denver. He won't keep fourth-rounder Julius Thomas on the bench for long.
