Cowboys signed OT Robert Brewster, WRs Jeff Moturi and Troy Bergeron, DE/OLB Alex Daniels, TE Jason Pociask, OG Travis Bright, LB Kelvin Smith, and CB Ross Weaver to reserve/future contracts.

They'll be carried on the 80-man offseason roster. The 75th overall pick in the 2009 draft, Brewster is the most heralded prospect of the group, though he didn't generate any interest on Dallas' practice squad all year.

Brewster was the 75th overall pick in the 2009 draft, so it's a pretty big disappointment that he didn't even last a season and a half in Dallas. Tackle-needy teams should strongly consider using a waiver claim on him.

Cowboys beat writer Clarence E. Hill sees Saturday's matchup against the Chargers as RT Robert Brewster's, "opportunity to gain experience and prove himself."

The 2009 third-round pick is filling in for the injured Marc Colombo. The team is hoping that Brewster shows he can hold his own on the field, as top swing tackle Alex Barron isn't going to play due to an ankle injury.

Brewster, a third-round pick in 2009, spent his first year on the PUP list after getting injured in minicamps. He projects as a right tackle or guard. Brewster's return does not lessen the Cowboys' need at left tackle.

The Cowboys were never counting on Brewster to play this season after he tore his pecs muscle in minicamps. The 2009 third-round pick projects as a future "swing" guard/tackle, and should make the final roster in 2010.

Cowboys rookie OT Robert Brewster will miss all of training camp and likely much more after tearing his pectorals muscle while lifting weights.

The injury happened in post-minicamp workouts. Brewster, the No. 75 pick overall in April, was supposed to compete for a backup job behind right tackle Marc Colombo. The Cowboys have enough depth to withstand the setback.

Cowboys selected Ball State G/T Robert Brewster with the No. 75 pick in the NFL Draft.

Brewster was an all-conference tackle for three years in the MAC, but he's expected to kick inside to guard as a pro. Brewster worked out of the spread and was rarely blocked out of a three-point stance in college, so he'll need time to develop behind Kyle Kosier and Leonard Davis.
