Colts LCB Greg Toler (groin) is participating in OTAs.
Toler had offseason sports-hernia surgery and sat out voluntary workouts earlier this month. The 29-year-old appeared in just nine games last season and struggled in coverage and run support. The Colts didn't bring in any cornerback competition, so they're banking on Toler bouncing back opposite Vontae Davis. Toler is going to be heavily targeted by opposing quarterbacks. Colts LCB Greg Toler (groin) is sitting out voluntary workouts this week.

Toler had offseason sports-hernia surgery. He says he's fully healthy, but the training staff wants him to slow his roll and get back to running at 100 percent before putting him back on the field. Toler was a disappointment as a free-agent signing for the Colts, appearing in only nine games in 2013, but he has plenty of natural ability and length to serve as Indy's No. 2 corner opposite Vontae Davis.

Colts LCB Greg Toler will need surgery on his groin.

The procedure to repair Toler's groin tear will come with a four-week rehab timetable. Therefore, he expects to be ready to participate in the offseason program. The Colts will be hoping to re-sign free agent Vontae Davis, leaving Toler in his more natural No. 2 corner role.

Colts placed LCB Greg Toler on injured reserve with a groin injury, ending his season.

Toler essentially missed the Colts' final nine games of the season, returning from a seven-game absence to combine for only 26 snaps in Weeks 16-17. He returned to the starting lineup for Saturday's Wild Card win only to get absolutely roasted by Alex Smith before leaving the game with injury. The Colts will go with Vontae Davis, Darius Butler and Josh Gordy as their top three corners as they attempt to slow down Tom Brady on Saturday. Signed through 2015, Toler should be ready for OTAs.
Jan 6 - 3:54 PM

Colts LCB Greg Toler was forced from Saturday's Wild Card game against the Chiefs with a groin injury, and is doubtful to return.

Toler missed seven games with a groin injury before returning to play limited snaps in Weeks 16 and 17. He was removed after getting barbecued on a 79-yard touchdown pass to Donnie Avery. He was also victimized on a 63-yard pass to Dwayne Bowe. The Colts are down to Darius Butler and Josh Gordy behind Vontae Davis, who appears to be playing at well less than 100 percent.
Jan 4 - 5:33 PM

Colts LCB Greg Toler played just seven snaps in his Week 16 return from a groin injury.

Toler didn't suffer a setback, but adverse weather conditions in Kansas City helped keep him on the bench. "Wasn’t like we were playing down in South Florida and you could just pull (Toler) off the bench after we were sitting there for four, five, six minutes, whatever it was," coach Chuck Pagano said. Toler is expected to return to the starting lineup as soon as this weekend, sliding Darius Butler back into the slot.

Colts declared LCB Greg Toler (groin), LB Kavell Conner, LB Cam Johnson, CB Jalil Brown, LG Hugh Thornton, OL Jeff Linkenbach, and DL Ricky Jean-Francois inactive for Week 14 against the Bengals.

Toler suffered a setback with his groin injury in Week 12 and has missed the past six games. Cassius Vaughn will start at left corner opposite Vontae Davis. Jean-Francois has a foot injury. Thornton is battling a neck issue.

Colts LCB Greg Toler (groin) has been ruled out for Week 13.

The Colts also ruled out ILB Kavell Conner, though RCB Vontae Davis (groin) is listed as probable. Indy's defense does not pose a difficult Week 13 matchup for Ryan Fitzpatrick, who's been on fire over his last two games.

Colts LCB Greg Toler (groin) has been ruled out for Week 12.

Toler was expected to return from his four-week groin injury against Arizona, but either had a setback during early-week practice or simply isn't as healthy as the Colts hoped. Cassius Vaughn will get the start at left corner.

Colts LCB Greg Toler (groin) will not play in Week 9.

The Colts will turn to special teamer Cassius Vaughn at left cornerback, with Darius Butler staying in the slot. We'd call it an upgrade for DeAndre Hopkins' matchup if the Texans had a better quarterback under center. Andre Johnson is more likely to square off with Vontae Davis in Sunday night's game.

Colts CB Greg Toler left Sunday night's Week 7 game against the Broncos with a groin injury.

He's questionable to return. With Toler sidelined, the Colts are down to just three healthy corners on their active roster.

Colts LCB Greg Toler (concussion) has resumed practicing in training camp.

Toler was concussed less than a week ago, has received medical clearance, and is all systems go. With Toler at left corner, Vontae Davis at RCB, and LaRon Landry and Antoine Bethea at safety, Indy's back end will improve in 2013.

Colts CB Greg Toler suffered a concussion in Wednesday's practice.

Toler has a good chance of earning a starting job opposite Vontae Davis, but this won't help. Toler has a fairly lengthy injury history, but no known professional concussions. He's week-to-week.
