Bills released G/C Colin Brown.
Brown started the Bills' first five games at left guard, but struggled mightily, grading out as Pro Football Focus' worst guard. He was benched for Doug Legursky in Sunday's loss to the Bengals, playing only 12-of-70 snaps. Brown beat out Legursky in camp, but the Bills were clearly dismayed at what they saw. Legursky can't be any worse than Brown was, but it's still surprising Buffalo isn't keeping him around as depth. Tue, Oct 15, 2013 02:41:00 PM

BuffaloBills.com expects G/C Colin Brown to be the team's Week 1 left guard.

Brown passed up Doug Legursky early in camp, and hasn't looked back. A 2009 fifth-round pick of the Chiefs, Brown has made just two career starts.

Colin Brown is expected to start at left guard in the Bills' first preseason game.

Brown worked with the first-team offense during practice Friday and has surpassed Doug Legursky on the depth chart. Regardless of who wins the starting job, the Bills interior line is a concern going into 2013.

Bills re-signed restricted free agent C/G Colin Brown to a two-year contract.

It sounds like Brown took less than the $1.3 million it would have cost the Bills to tender him at the "original pick" level. Brown, 27, made one spot start in 2012 before suffering a year-ending hamstring injury. The hamstring wound up being ripped entirely off Brown's leg bone. His position flexibility helps, but Brown will have to compete to keep his roster spot in 2013.

Bills placed RG Colin Brown on injured reserve with a hamstring injury, ending his season.

It's just the latest blow for the Bills' injury-ravaged offensive line. Brown was only in the Week 5 lineup because starter Kraig Urbik is sidelined with a high-ankle sprain. It's difficult to predict how the Bills' line will shake out in Week 6, but veteran G/T Reggie Wells has been signed as insurance.

Bills RG Colin Brown sustained a potentially serious hamstring injury in Sunday's Week 5 loss to the 49ers.

The Bills' offensive line is absolutely decimated by injury. Kraig Urbik (ankle), Cordy Glenn (ankle), Chad Rinehart (hamstring) and now Brown are all down. They're expected to call up at least two offensive linemen from the practice squad ahead of Week 6.

Bills signed OT Colin Brown off the Ravens' practice squad.

The Bills have lost a couple linemen to season-ending knee injuries this month. A former fifth-round pick out of Missouri, Brown has spent time with the Chiefs and Ravens but has yet to appear in an NFL game.

Chiefs OT Colin Brown (knee) is expected to participate fully in the team's offseason program that begins today.

Brown, a fifth-round pick out of Missouri last season, landed on injured reserve before the 2009 season started. He'll be battling for a job as a backup this spring and summer.

Chiefs placed OT Colin Brown on injured reserve, ending his season.

As has become customary in Kansas City, Brown's injury was never disclosed. The raw fifth-round pick will return in 2010 to battle for a roster spot.

Chiefs signed fifth-round OT Colin Brown to a three-year contract, including a $154,000 signing bonus.

Brown practiced behind RT Damion McIntosh at OTAs. A former walk-on who goes 6'7/335, Brown gained loads of pass-blocking experience in Mizzou's spread offense. That could come in handy for the Chiefs' shotgun-heavy attack.
