Titans placed FB Quinn Johnson on injured reserve with a quadriceps injury, ending his season.

Johnson suffered the injury in practice this week. FB Collin Mooney was promoted from the practice squad in a corresponding move. The Titans worked out free agents Michael Robinson and John Conner this week. Either one could be an option next week when their contracts won't be guaranteed for the season.

Titans re-signed FB Quinn Johnson.

Johnson should be returning as Chris Johnson's lead blocker, but may have to compete with Collin Mooney in camp.

Titans claimed FB Quinn Johnson off waivers from the Broncos.

Johnson graded out as Pro Football Focus' worst lead blocker in the league in four early-season starts with the Titans. He doesn't have a rushing attempt in three seasons, so he wouldn't be a candidate for carries even with Chris Johnson banged up.

Broncos waived FB Quinn Johnson.

Claimed off waivers from the Titans in October, Johnson failed to unseat Spencer Larsen as the Broncos' lead blocker. A former fifth-round pick, Johnson has now been jettisoned from three teams in the past three months.

Broncos claimed FB Quinn Johnson off waivers from the Titans.

Johnson, 25, gives Denver a truer lead blocker than incumbent Spencer Larsen. The LSU alum struggled mightily in the first four games with Tennessee, however. Johnson will likely need at least a week or two to get up to speed.

Titans waived FB Quinn Johnson.

Johnson was terrible in the Titans' first four games, grading out as Pro Football Focus' worst lead blocker in the league. Ahmard Hall has taken over.

Titans acquired FB Quinn Johnson from the Packers in exchange for an undisclosed draft pick.

The Titans needed a fullback after starter Ahmard Hall was handed a four-game suspension for violating the league's policy on performance-enhancing substances. If Johnson does a good job paving the way for Chris Johnson, he could push the overrated Hall off the roster. Johnson has no versatility, but he's flashed difference-making ability as a strict lead blocker.

Packers FB Quinn Johnson was overweight when he showed up for the start of training camp in late July.

Johnson is a 6-foot-1, 263-pound lead blocker, so his weight is probably a tough thing to control. Especially when he doesn't do anything during a locket-marred offseason. Johnson is on the outside looking in at a roster spot.

The Green Bay Press-Gazette believes FB Quinn Johnson could be released by the Packers.

After carrying three fullbacks a year ago, the Pack are expected to go with just one or two in 2011. Since Johnson isn't a core special teamer, he's expected to hit the chopping block.

Packers declared FB Quinn Johnson, WR Patrick Williams, S Derrick Martin, CB Trevor Ford, OT Breno Giacomini, OT Allen Barbre, NT Anthony Toribio, and DE Michael Montgomery inactive for the Wild Card round.

Johnson has barely played all season after being drafted in the fifth round last April out of LSU. Charles Woodson, as expected, is active and will start.

Packers signed fifth-round FB Quinn Johnson to a four-year contract.

Johnson, built like a Mack truck at 6'1/262, gives Green Bay a legitimate lead-blocking option in front of Ryan Grant. The former LSU Tiger had 16 carries in his college career, though, so don't expect many offensive touches.

The Packers believe that rookie fullback Quinn Johnson will upgrade their short-yardage offense.

Johnson, an old-fashioned lead blocker, will likely replace Korey Hall as a starter from day one. Short-yardage/goal-line situations have been a weakness for Ryan Grant over the last two years. Johnson should help him.
