The Panthers' website lists Nic Harris -- not Jordan Senn -- as Carolina's first-string weak-side linebacker following the losses of Dan Connor (fractured hip) and Thomas Davis (torn ACL).
Jon Beason is the middle linebacker, as expected. Coach John Fox called Senn the top WLB candidate earlier in the week, but it appears Harris beat him out on the practice field. A college safety, Harris figures to struggle in run defense. He's worth grabbing in all IDP leagues, however, as Carolina's weak-side linebacker gets boatloads of tackle chances. Panthers LB Nic Harris sits squarely on the the roster bubble heading into the 6 P.M. EST Saturday Deadline for teams to submit their final 53-man rosters.

Harris was a standout at Oklahoma, and had a team-high 8 tackles in Thursday's preseason game against the Steelers. He's had a tumultuous road to say the least, as Harris bounced between 12 homes before the age of 15.

Panthers signed LB Nic Harris, formerly of the Bills.

Harris was waived by the Bills two weeks ago upon failing his physical for a knee injury sustained at the end of last season. He'll be a practice body for Carolina with Quinton Culberson (thigh bruise) and Jamar Williams (shoulder) sidelined.

Harris' injury may have been more serious than originally expected. Even if healthy, he'll be on the roster bubble come training camp.

Bills placed OLB Nic Harris (knee) on injured reserve, ending his season.

The converted college safety finishes his rookie year with 30 tackles. His injury is not serious, but was going to prevent Harris from playing in Week 17. Harris will be on the roster bubble in next year's training camp.

Bills agreed to terms with fifth-round LB Nic Harris on a multi-year contract.

Harris is being converted from college safety into NFL outside linebacker. The Bills have had little success working a similar switch with Keith Ellison, so we wouldn't gamble on Harris emerging as a valuable defender soon.

The Bills will use fifth-round pick Nic Harris at outside linebacker.

Harris, a slow safety at Oklahoma, played linebacker at pre-draft events, so this isn't surprising. Buffalo hopes he works out better than Keith Ellison.
