Jaguars TE Zach Miller is questionable for Week 1 due to a pectoral injury.

It sounds like a partially torn muscle for the oft-injured Miller. He's dealt with knee, foot, shoulder and now pectoral injuries since breaking into the league in 2009. This latest injury could put him on the roster bubble.

Jaguars TE Zach Miller was cleared to practice two weeks ago after undergoing shoulder surgery in October.

This is the first we've heard that the injury required surgery. The former quarterback believes he's more ready to play tight end now than at any point in his career, but he acknowledges that the burden is on him to prove he can stay healthy for a full season. Miller won't be a fantasy factor behind Marcedes Lewis in 2012.

Miller's career-long injury woes continue as his season ends with four catches for 42 yards and one touchdown in four games. Jaguars declared TE Zach Miller, CB Derek Cox, FB Montell Owens, S Courtney Greene, OL Jason Spitz, DE Aaron Kampman, and WR Kassim Osgood inactive for Week 5 against the Bengals.

The Jags' speedy second tight end has just four receptions while battling ongoing lower leg injuries this season. With Owens and Osgood sidelined, the Jags are without their two best special teamers.

Zach Miller caught three passes for 28 yards in a Week 2 loss against the Jets.

Miller drew the start with Marcedes Lewis sidelined and tied with Maurice Jones-Drew for second on the team in targets. He'll be relegated to backup duties in Week 3 if Lewis returns, and can safely be kept on the waiver wire in fantasy leagues.

Jaguars TE Zach Miller is expected to start in place of Marcedes Lewis (calf) against the Jets on Sunday.

Highly athletic, Miller has proven to be a respectable pass catcher the past two seasons, making 41 catches for 428 yards and three scores. He's obviously a far from ideal fill in for Lewis in fantasy leagues, but it wouldn't be the most surprising thing if he had a productive day against a Jets defense that let Dallas' Jason Witten make six catches for 110 yards a week ago.

Coach Jack Del Rio confirmed that TE Zach Miller (knee) and RT Eben Britton (back surgery) remain on track to play in Week 1.

Miller has been in the league three seasons and has missed time with leg injuries in all three training camps. The former college QB just doesn't have the body to stand up to the rigors of the position. Britton underwent minor surgery on his back at the beginning of camp.

Jaguars TE Zach Miller will miss the next two weeks of training camp with a knee injury.

Beloved by Jacksonville's front office, Miller has been a brittle player entering his third season in the NFL. He's also battled several foot injuries. The Jags hoped Miller would capture a big role early in the season, but this won't help.
