Seahawks acquired DT Clinton McDonald from the Bengals in exchange for CB Kelly Jennings.

The Bengals got the better end of the deal in terms of talent, but McDonald has a much lower salary than Jennings and could contribute in a rotation. A seventh-round pick in 2009 out of Memphis, McDonald was enjoying his best training camp as a pro in Cincinnati. He'll slot in as a backup "3-technique" in Seattle with a realistic shot of making the final 53.

Bengals signed DT Clinton McDonald and waived DB Rico Murray.

McDonald had been on the practice squad. He's needed with Tank Johnson banged up. Murray should re-sign with the practice squad after clearing waivers.

Bengals signed seventh-round DT Clinton McDonald to a four-year contract.

McDonald, a penetrating prospect from Memphis, faces an uphill battle to make the Bengals' roster. He'll have to beat out at least one of Jason Shirley and Jonathan Fanene behind Pat Sims, Domata Peko, and Tank Johnson.
