Browns released TE Dan Gronkowski.

Rob's brother, Gronkowski appeared in seven games between the Browns and Patriots last season, but didn't make a catch. He'll be on the list if a team is looking for a fill-in blocking tight end.

Browns signed TE Dan Gronkowski.

The older brother of Rob will serve as the blocking complement to Evan Moore. Ben Watson (concussion) and Alex Smith (shoulder) are both done for the season.

Patriots waived TE Dan Gronkowski.

Strictly a blocking tight end and special teamer, Rob's older brother has now been waived by the Patriots twice this season.

Patriots re-signed TE Dan Gronkowski.

The older brother of Rob, Dan will act as a strict blocking tight end. At 6'5/255, it's a role he's certainly cut out for.

Patriots released TE Dan Gronkowski.

The move leaves New England with one healthy tight end on the active roster, so look for a corresponding tight end pickup before Sunday. Gronkowski played sparingly in the first two games, seeing 27 percent of the Pats' offensive snaps. Beat writers believe Garrett Mills will be signed from the practice squad.

Patriots agreed to terms with TE Dan Gronkowski, formerly of the Broncos.

Double Gronk power in New England. Dan is more of a blocking specialist than his phenom brother Rob, managing just eight catches for 65 yards in 12 games last season. Rob is locked in as an every-down tight end with Aaron Hernandez in the "Joker" role. Dan's snaps will be few and far between. He was picked over John Nalbone and Justin Peelle, who also tried out for the Pats.

Broncos waived TE Dan Gronkowski.

A blocking specialist, Gronkowski hauled in just eight catches for 65 yards in 12 games a season ago. It's looking less and less likely Gronkowski will ever translate his good practices into good games.

Broncos placed TE Dan Gronkowski (ankle) on injured reserve, ending his season.

Initial X-rays were negative, but a Monday MRI must've shown something more serious. Gronkowski played a significant amount of snaps in his first year as a Bronco, primarily as a blocking tight end with only 64 yards on eight catches. We'd still much rather Alphonso Smith's upside over him.

Broncos TE Dan Gronkowski was able to play through an ankle sprain in Sunday's loss to the Chiefs.

Gronkowski was taken off the field on a cart, but X-rays showed no fracture. The blocking tight end played the rest of the game with the ankle heavily taped.

Broncos TE Dan Gronkowski left Sunday's game in the second quarter with a left ankle injury.

Gronkowski had the ankle stepped on while he was blocking and he went down in a heap before being helped off. He was carted to the locker room and is considered questionable to return.

TE Dan Gronkowski is expected to serve as the Broncos' fullback in Week 5 against the Ravens.

Gronkowski will replace Spencer Larsen (ankle). The Broncos running game ranks dead last in the league, averaging only 55 yards a game and only 2.2 yards per attempt.

Broncos acquired TE Dan Gronkowski from the Lions in exchange for CB Alphonso Smith.

The Broncos needed a pass-catching tight end to complement Daniel Graham after losing Marquez Branson to injury. We're just not sure Gronkowski fits the bill. A seventh-round pick in 2009, the workout warrior spent the majority of the season on the Lions' practice squad.

Lions signed TE Dan Gronkowski, DT Terrance Taylor, CB Jahi Word-Daniels, OG Kurt Quarterman, DE Robert Henderson, WRs Michael Ray Garvin and Kole Heckendorf and DBs Jonathan Hefney and Paul Pratt to reserve/futures contracts.

Gronkowski was a seventh-round pick who spent three weeks on the active roster in December. Taylor, the Colts' fourth-round pick last season, floated around the league before landing in Detroit.

Lions waived TE Dan Gronkowski.

Jake Nordin was called up from the practice squad and will back up Will Heller this week. The Lions are already without Brandon Pettigrew (knee) and Casey Fitzsimmons (concussion) for the season.
