As points out, this could be a bit of gamesmanship from the Rams. Favorite was with the Eagles throughout training camp, and the two teams square off against each other in Week 1.

The Eagles are really thin at defensive tackle after losing Mike Patterson (brain AVM) and trading away Brodrick Bunkley. Trevor Laws has also been banged up. Favorite still has zero chance at cracking the final roster.
