Steelers re-signed OG Ramon Foster to a three-year contract.
Foster was thought to be on the outs with the Steelers, but remained in their plans after all. Foster has rarely been better than replacement-level during his four years in Pittsburgh, but has played through injury and is solid as a pass blocker. The Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reports the Cardinals, Bears, and Titans have all shown interest in free agent OG Ramon Foster.

The Arizona connection makes sense because ex-Steelers offensive boss Bruce Arians is now the Cardinals' head coach. The Steelers seem lukewarm on re-signing Foster with Willie Colon and David DeCastro in place as starting guards.

Impending free agent RG Ramon Foster is not an "ideal fit" for the Steelers and may not be re-signed.

Foster stated after the season that he intended to test the free-agent market, and wants to "go somewhere where I'll be appreciated." Pittsburgh is expected to plug in a more athletic pulling guard in his spot, and the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette mentions second-year lineman Kelvin Beachum as an option. At 6-foot-2, 303, Beachum also fits the team's desires to get lighter up front.

Impending free agent RG Ramon Foster is expected to test the market.

Foster has started 31 games over the last two seasons, but he's unlikely to be a priority for the Steelers. They took David DeCastro in the first round last year and Willie Colon signed a five-year contract in 2011. "I want to go somewhere where I'll be appreciated," Foster said. "I played a lot and started a lot. I'll see where it goes when free agency opens up whether I get a contract or not."

Coach Mike Tomlin expects RG Ramon Foster (eye) and RT Marcus Gilbert (knee) to be fine for this week's game versus the Jets.

It's good news for Ben Roethlisberger, as the Broncos' pass rushers took advantage of backups Doug Legursky and especially Mike Adams late in the season opener.

Steelers RG Ramon Foster was forced from Sunday's game against the Broncos with an eye injury, and is questionable to return.

Foster left the game late in the first half, and was absent for Pittsburgh's first drive of the second. Doug Legursky is now in the game at right guard. Pittsburgh is also without RT Marcus Gilbert. It's possible Foster's night is through, but it's doubtful his Week 2 status is in doubt.

Steelers re-signed restricted free agent RG Ramon Foster to a one-year, $1.26 million contract.

Foster did draw interest from undisclosed teams after being tendered at the original pick level. Holding up well in pass protection as a second-year starter, Foster was slightly below average as a run blocker last season. The Steelers could use an upgrade on the opposite side.

Foster was forced from last week's game with a low-ankle sprain. OC Bruce Arians fully expects him to be available for Thursday's game against the Browns.

Steelers LG Ramon Foster was forced from Sunday's game in the third quarter with an ankle injury.

The Steelers have Chris Kemoeatu available, but they're going with utility lineman Trai Essex as Foster's backup. In a 35-7 game, it won't make much of a difference. Foster stated after the game that he expects to be back in the lineup for Week 14 against the Browns.

The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette has Ramon Foster penciled in as the starting right guard.

Foster took over for Trai Essex in the second half of last season and held his own. He may have to hold off Doug Legursky and second-rounder Marcus Gilbert to keep the job this year. Free agent Willie Colon is not expected to be tried inside if he re-signs.

Steelers coach Mike Tomlin said RG Ramon Foster will remain the starter over Trai Essex.

Foster started in Week 11 and was praised by Tomlin for his intensity and physical presence. "We liked the way that he and Flozell [Adams] worked together," Tomlin said. "We'll push forward."

Ramon Foster started in place of Trai Essex at right guard in Sunday's win over the Raiders.

Essex's removal from the starting lineup was performance-based. "Trai was below the line," coach Mike Tomlin said. "We'll assess (Foster's) work and proceed from there. We need winning performances from everybody."

Backup Ramon Foster is expected to start in place of LG Chris Kemoeatu (knee) against the Patriots Sunday.

Kemoeatu was pushing to play, but it doesn't look like it's going to happen. Foster is getting the call over Doug Legursky because the coaches want a bigger body against the Patriots' mammoth front-three. The Steelers will be starting backups on the entire left side of the O-Line.

Ramon Foster will make his first NFL start against the Ravens Sunday.

Foster is filling in at left guard for Chris Kemoeatu, who has a sprained knee. It's an obvious downgrade for the Steelers as Foster struggled in pass protection last week after Kemoeatu went down. Ben Roethlisberger (concussion) needs to be careful Sunday night.
