Chargers signed ILB Reggie Walker, formerly of the Cardinals.

Walker was cut by the Cardinals on Friday evening. He lands back on his feet with an old friend in ex-Cardinals coach and current Chargers OC Ken Whisenhunt. Walker will spend most of his time helping out on special teams.

Cardinals released ILB Reggie Walker.

Walker never developed into more than a special teamer, and he was off scholarship when the Cardinals changed coaching staffs during the offseason.

Cardinals LB Reggie Walker left Thursday night's game against the Rams with a head injury and is questionable to return.

Walker was injured in the second quarter on special teams. He's a reserve inside linebacker.

Cardinals re-signed ILB Reggie Walker to a two-year contract.

Walker, 25, was originally not tendered as a restricted free agent, so he's likely returning for minimum salaries in both seasons. The former Kansas State Wildcat is almost strictly a special teamer. He had 16 tackles in 2012.

The Cardinals did not tender ILB Reggie Walker, making him an unrestricted free agent.

Arizona didn't deem Walker worthy of the lowest possible tender amount ($1.26 million), though he might return for closer to the vet's minimum. Purely a special teamer, Walker recorded just 16 tackles on defense in 16 games last year.

The Cardinals' website seems to hint that Reggie Walker could put heat on Gerald Hayes to start at inside linebacker this season.

Walker is a second-year former undrafted free agent from Kansas State. While the notion of him beating out Hayes isn't particularly likely, it's a reminder that Hayes (back) needs to get healthy to keep his full-time role. We're staying away from Arizona linebackers in IDP leagues this season.

The Cardinals are reportedly "high" on 2009 undrafted free agent inside linebacker Reggie Walker.

Walker only appeared in seven games as a rookie, making six tackles. The K-State product is not a likely in-house replacement for free agent ILB Karlos Dansby, but may replace Monty Beisel as the third inside 'backer in 2010.
