Cardinals activated TE Jermaine Gresham from the active/PUP list.

Despite the activation, Gresham will still be eased into camp. The one-time TE2 will be off the fantasy radar this season.
Aug 3 - 1:24 PM

Cardinals placed TE Jermaine Gresham (back) on the active/PUP list.

Gresham just signed last week, but is still recovering from offseason back surgery. He projects to start at Y-tight end when healthy. The Cardinals also placed TE Troy Niklas on active/NFI.
Jul 29 - 4:52 PM

Cardinals signed TE Jermaine Gresham to a one-year contract.

Gresham, 27, is coming off a plodding 62-460-5 season in Cincinnati, averaging a putrid 7.4 yards per catch. Gresham received interest from the Packers and Chicago prior to signing in Arizona, and had a standing offer from the Saints. The Cardinals project to start Gresham at Y-tight end, but he's unlikely to make an impact under Bruce Arians. Gresham is still recovering from offseason back surgery and remains questionable for the start of training camp.
Jul 24 - 7:15 PM

The Chicago Tribune reports the Bears have "discussed the possibility" of signing free agent Jermaine Gresham.

Interest is heating up in Gresham, who visited the Packers and Cardinals this past week. The Saints are also known to have interest in the 27-year-old "Y" tight end. The Bears are currently rail thin at tight end behind Martellus Bennett, who reported to minicamp after skipping OTAs over a contract dispute. Gresham would give Chicago flexibility to play more two-tight end sets.

Free agent TE Jermaine Gresham is visiting the Packers.

Gresham's trip to Green Bay comes two days after he visited the Cardinals. He'd provide versatile depth behind the underwhelming duo of Andrew Quarless and Richard Rodgers. Signing Gresham could also make Quarless expendable following his early-July arrest on gun charges. When and where Gresham signs depends on the status of his surgically-repaired back. Gresham is best utilized as a blocker at this stage of his career, but is also a competent pass catcher.
Jul 23 - 9:27 PM

Free agent Jermaine Gresham's visit to the Cardinals will take place on Tuesday.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports the Raiders and Saints have also maintained interest in Gresham after flirting with him earlier this offseason. RapSheet notes that Gresham's physical with teams will be "important," as he is recovering from back surgery. Gresham turned 27 years old last month.
Jul 20 - 2:51 PM

The Cardinals will host free agent TE Jermaine Gresham this week.

Gresham's blocking ability would fit well in Arizona, but he shouldn't sign with Bruce Arians' team if he expects to catch many passes. ESPN's Adam Schefter reports Gresham already has a contract offer on the table from the Saints, and "has other visits planned the next two weeks." Most NFL officials are currently on vacation. The transaction wire should begin to pick up late this week.
Jul 19 - 11:15 AM

ESPN’s Coley Harvey confirms the Bengals aren’t interested in re-signing free agent TE Jermaine Gresham.

The Bengals are moving on after drafting two tight ends. Gresham visited the Saints last month and has a standing contract offer from them. 27-year-old Gresham will be five months removed from back surgery for the start of training camp.

Jul 18 - 5:29 PM

The Saints have been looking into signing free agent TE Jermaine Gresham for a "couple months."

Per coach Sean Payton, there's "nothing set yet." Saints brass has spent a ton of time talking up both Josh Hill and Benjamin Watson this offseason, but could use another body as they try to replace Jimmy Graham. Gresham's arrival would be bad news for 34-year-old "Y" tight end Watson.
Jun 4 - 2:08 PM

The Saints visited with free agent TE Jermaine Gresham.

It's Gresham's first visit since undergoing March back surgery. The Saints could use a veteran presence after trading away Jimmy Graham. Gresham's signing would be a threat to "Y" tight end Ben Watson's snaps. The Saints have made it clear Josh Hill will play Graham's old "F" position in Sean Payton's offense.
Jun 3 - 8:14 PM

Yahoo's Charles Robinson would "expect" the Cardinals to look into free agent Jermaine Gresham following John Carlson's retirement.

That's "once (Gresham's) medicals check out." Gresham is recovering from March back surgery. It's unclear if Robinson is just spitballing, or passing along informed speculation. The top of the Cardinals' tight end depth chart is shaky, with former basketball player Darren Fells joining 2014 second-rounder Troy Niklas. Niklas' rookie year was marred by ankle issues.
May 5 - 3:22 PM

ESPN's Coley Harvey reports free agent TE Jermaine Gresham’s future may impact the Bengals' draft strategy.

The Bengals remain interested in Gresham, who is recovering from back surgery. His health status could impact whether Cincinnati drafts a tight end to pair with Tyler Eifert. Gresham would likely need to accept a team-friendly deal to return.

Apr 22 - 5:45 PM

ESPN's Coley Harvey confirms the Bengals haven't ruled out re-signing free agent TE Jermaine Gresham.

The Bengals have yet to find a replacement for Gresham, and are interested in keeping him as a blocker to complement Tyler Eifert. Recovering from back surgery, Gresham could have to wait until after the draft to sign. Gresham is the best tight end remaining on the market.

Apr 10 - 5:49 PM

The Bengals haven't closed the door on re-signing free agent TE Jermaine Gresham.

Coach Marvin Lewis recently said Gresham is a man of "many moods," which doesn't suggest the Bengals are eager to have him back in the locker room. But if the team can't find a blocking tight end to pair with Tyler Eifert in the draft, bringing Gresham back at a reduced salary could be an option. He was close to signing with Oakland but that deal fell apart when the Raiders found out Gresham needed back surgery.
