Cardinals re-signed TE Jermaine Gresham to a four-year contract.
Gresham has just 55 catches for 614 yards over the past two years, but he is only 28 years old and became a big part of Arizona's passing game as a possession target last year. Gresham struggled mightily in the blocking game, however. He does boast a sure pair of hands, and is a big target in the red zone. Gresham was Rotoworld's No. 6 free agent tight end. He's now signed through 2020. Mar 7 - 3:20 PM

Jermaine Gresham failed to catch either of his two targets in Sunday's Week 17 win over the Rams.

It’s a fitting end to another disappointing year for Gresham. He was arguably the worst blocking tight end in the league this season and earned PFF’s second-worst grade overall ahead of only Giants tight end Will Tye. Gresham actually drew a fair amount of targets this year as Carson Palmer abandoned throwing deep in favor of short check-down passes. But Gresham scored just two touchdowns all year and only topped 50 yards on one occasion. Even in deeper leagues there isn’t much point in drafting him next summer, unless you're enamored with tight ends who don’t get yards or touchdowns.

Jermaine Gresham caught 2-of-4 targets for 40 yards in the Cardinals' Week 16 win over the Seahawks.

He also drew a taunting penalty. Gresham usually produces between two and five catches and hovers in the 50-yard range, but he needs touchdowns to pay any kind of fantasy dividends. He'll be a weak DFS punt in Week 17 against the Rams.

Jermaine Gresham caught 3-of-5 targets for 42 yards Week 15 against the Saints.

It was a disappointing outing for Gresham, who was not any more involved in the offense even with Michael Floyd in New England. The tight end made a nice grab for a 23-yard gain on the successful two-minute drive to end the first half, but he was quiet otherwise. Gresham will be a TE2 next week in Seattle.

Jermaine Gresham (knee) and John Bown (illness) are both active Week 15 against the Saints.

Even with Michael Floyd in New England, Brown is not a realistic fantasy option as he plays limited snaps while dealing with his illness. Gresham, on the other hand, could see a bump to his already steady target share. Gresham is a solid TE1 streamer. Arizona declared LT D.J. Humphries (concussion), QB Zac Dysert, WR Jeremy Ross, CB Tharold Simon, DT Pierre Olsen, DT Ed Stinson, and DT Xavier Williams inactive for Week 15.

Jermaine Gresham (knee) is questionable for Week 15 against the Saints.

Gresham has been limited at practice the last two days after starting the week with a DNP. We'd expect him to suit up on Sunday. Gresham has averaged 7.7 targets over his last three games and will make for a solid TE2 this week in the fantasy semifinals.

Jermaine Gresham (knee) returned to Cardinals practice on Thursday.

Wednesday was likely just a maintenance day. Gresham should be good to go as a high-floor TE2 against the Saints.

Jermaine Gresham (knee) didn't practice Wednesday.

It's not clear when the injury happened after Gresham lead the Cardinals in receiving last week. Coach Bruce Arians expects Gresham to return Thursday. Gresham is on the Week 15 streaming radar against the Saints.

Jermaine Gresham caught 5-of-7 targets for 45 yards Week 14 against the Dolphins.

It is not a big line, but Gresham actually led the Cardinals in receiving and tied for the team lead in receptions on a day where Carson Palmer struggled to locate the ball. Gresham continued to look good, fighting for yards after the catch. He is never going to be a high-upside option, but Gresham gets the Saints at home next week. He will be a TE1 option in PPR leagues and even deeper standard formats.

Jermaine Gresham caught 5-of-6 targets for 52 yards Week 13 against the Redskins.

Gresham did not find the end zone, but this was a better game than his 35/1 performance against the Falcons last week. He did drop his only missed target, but Gresham had a couple third-down conversions including one where he steamrolled Josh Norman at the sticks. He also came close to a touchdown in the first quarter, but he was brought down at the one. The targets could have just been matchup driven the last two weeks, but the Cardinals have not gotten much out of anyone not named David Johnson or Larry Fitzgerald in the passing game. Gresham may stay involved next week against the Dolphins.

Jermaine Gresham caught 5-of-10 targets for 35 yards and one touchdown in the Cardinals' Week 12 loss to the Falcons.

For those wondering why Larry Fitzgerald (4-53 on four targets) was M.I.A. for much of this one, here is our answer. The Falcons have been dreadful against tight ends all season, and the Cardinals chose to attack the middle of the Atlanta defense with big-bodied Gresham instead of slot man Fitzgerald. Gresham entered the game with just 25 targets on the season. He's now scored in back-to-back games and could have had a second touchdown Sunday if not for getting popped by SS Keanu Neal at the goal line. Gresham's score was a one-yarder on the opening drive. The targets are notable, but Gresham will be tough to get behind as a streaming option next week against the Redskins, though Washington has been devoured by tight ends of late.

Cardinals re-signed TE Jermaine Gresham to a one-year contract.

Per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, Gresham is "taking less to stay." Gresham struggled while being utilized as a receiving tight end early in his career with Cincinnati. The Cards played Gresham to his strengths in 2015, allowing him to stay locked on the line of scrimmage and block. Gresham proceeded to earn PFF's No. 8 overall run-blocking grade among 73 qualified tight ends.

Free agent TE Jermaine Gresham visited with the Jets Friday.

The Jets are Gresham's second visit after he met with Chicago. Gresham didn't run many routes in Bruce Arians' scheme, but was one of the top run blockers last year. He would give the Jets an upgrade from free agent Kellen Davis.

Free agent TE Jermaine Gresham will visit the Bears.

Gresham's visit suggests the Bears are ready to move on from Martellus Bennett. Gresham posted the lowest yardage total of his career last season (223) but was one of the more effective run-blocking tight ends in football. The Bears have also been in talks with Zach Miller.

Jermaine Gresham (knee) is listed as questionable for Week 15.

Gresham got in two limited practices, putting him on track to play. He should only end up missing one week with his knee issue. Gresham’s return will push Troy Niklas out of two tight end sets.
