Colts waived CB D.J. Johnson and OT Ty Nsekhe.

The Colts have made a total of six transactions one day after "final cuts." Acquired from the Eagles in July, Johnson became expendable following Indy's acquisition of Vontae Davis.

Colts acquired CB D.J. Johnson from the Eagles in exchange for DT Ollie Ogbu.

It's the second pre-training camp cornerback trade executed by Indianapolis, which clearly does not feel comfortable at the position the way the current roster stands. (They also traded for Cassius Vaughn in late May.) Johnson, a 2009 UDFA out of Jackson State, has bounced between five different teams already in his career. The Colts will be his sixth, and he'll remain a long shot.

Bucs signed CB D.J. Johnson off their practice squad.

Johnson takes the place of Aqib Talib, who has landed on injured reserve. He's made 10 tackles over 13 games in his two NFL seasons and will give the team some depth.

Giants DB D.J. Johnson admitted that he may have been brought in just to serve as a "snitch" for Thursday's game against the Broncos.

The Giants signed Johnson off Denver's practice squad on Oct. 11. "To tell you the truth, I don't know about my future here," he said. "And I'm fully aware of the possibility that's what I was brought in for." Johnson said he volunteered to tell the coaches everything he knows about the Broncos' secondary.

Giants signed CB D.J. Johnson off the Broncos' practice squad.

The Giants worked out 14 free agents Tuesday in the midst of their four-game losing streak. They've been wretched against the pass since losing Kenny Phillips and sorely need secondary talent, but Johnson won't save them.
