Dolphins re-signed DL Ryan Baker to a one-year contract.

A restricted free agent, Baker originally wasn't tendered a contract. Signed off the practice squad last November, Baker made one tackle in two games. He's appeared in 16 games for the Dolphins since 2009.

The Dolphins won't tender restricted free agent DE Ryan Baker a contract, but would "like to bring him back."

A former undrafted free agent, Baker has bounced back and forth between the Dolphins' practice squad and active roster the past three seasons. He has seven tackles and 0.5 sacks in 16 career games. He's unlikely to crack anyone's Week 1 roster.

The Dolphins told backup DL Ryan Baker to gain weight so that he can play at nose tackle this year.

He was previously listed at a lengthy 6'5/295. Baker played end in five spot appearances last year. The former undrafted free agent has begun bulking up in an effort to make the squad as one of Randy Starks' backups. He'll need the Fins to carry three NTs, because Paul Soliai isn't going anywhere.
