Titans released CB Perrish Cox.

Coach Mike Mularkey said the team would stick with Cox this time last week, but the Titans were forced to pull the plug after the corner gave up another touchdown against the Bears. Cox was far from the only issue in the secondary, however, and Chicago's ineptitude was the only thing which allowed the Titans to hold on for the win. Seventh-round CB Kalan Reed will replace Cox on the roster.

Titans coach Mike Mularkey said the team will stick with struggling CB Perrish Cox.

Mularkey did say the team will rotate more than they have in the past, but they still "have confidence" in Cox. This should be music to the ears of DFS players, who have been able to attack the corner consistently this season. Unfortunately, the Bears do not have any viable receiving options to target this week.

Coach Mike Mularkey said Monday the Titans are considering benching LCB Perrish Cox.

Cox has been torched badly all year, including on Sunday when he got flamed by Phillip Dorsett for a 50-yard reception and also gave up a touchdown to T.Y. Hilton. The Titans' alternative would be Antwon Blake, so it's not like they have a clear upgrade waiting in the wings. Each of the past six quarterbacks to face the Titans have finished as top-12 fantasy plays on the week. Tennessee does get some relief this week in the form of Jay Cutler.

Titans LCB Perrish Cox (concussion) returned to a full practice on Wednesday.

Cox is still technically in the concussion protocol but it looks like he should be cleared in plenty of time for Sunday's game against San Diego.

Titans LCB Perrish Cox (concussion) is out for Week 8 against the Jaguars.

Cox was carted off with a concussion on Sunday, leaving him little chance of being ready on a short week. Brian McCain is expected to start opposite Jason McCourty Thursday against Jacksonville. Consider Cox week to week.

Titans LCB Perrish Cox was carted off the field with a concussion in the second quarter of Sunday's Week 7 game.

It looked like a severe brain injury. The Titans inserted Brice McCain opposite RCB Jason McCourty.

Titans CB Perrish Cox (hamstring) will be a game-time decision Week 10 against the Panthers.

Cox was expected to return this week, but he rushed back from a hamstring issue earlier in the season and suffered a recurrence. With Jason McCourty (groin) out Week 10 and perhaps done for the season, the Titans need Cox healthy. Tennessee's pass defense has been surprisingly stout this season, but they have been hit hard by injuries.

The Titans expect RCB Perrish Cox to return from his hamstring injury this week.

With Jason McCourty at left corner, Coty Sensabaugh in the slot, and Cox back at right corner, the Titans' secondary will be at full strength against the Saints. They should be happy to limit Blidi Wreh-Wilson's snaps going forward.

Titans RCB Perrish Cox (hamstring) is out for Week 8 against the Texans.

He hasn't played since Week 6. Coty Sensabaugh will draw another start at right cornerback. Cox is optimistic he'll be ready for next week's game against Jacksonville.

Titans RCB Perrish Cox underwent acupuncture on his balky hamstring.

It seems like he's grasping at straws, although perhaps the procedure will help. Cox was Tennessee's top cornerback before going down and missing Week 7 against the Falcons. He admitted he's endured setbacks with the hamstring. LCB Jason McCourty also suffered a hamstring injury in Sunday's loss.

The Titans have ruled out RCB Perrish Cox (hamstring) for Week 7 against the Falcons.

We love it when Blidi Wreh-Wilson comes into our lives, and that'll be the case on Sunday when fantasy's prized moneymaking cornerback gets the start in place of Cox against Julio Jones & Co. Getcha popcorn ready.

Titans LCB Perrish Cox is undergoing an MRI on his hamstring.

Cox was limited to just eight snaps against the Dolphins, and appears to be in real danger of missing Week 7. Coty Sensabaugh and Blidi Wreh-Wilson will both see an increase in snaps if Cox can't go.

Perrish Cox (hip) is active for Week 1 against the Buccaneers.

Cox is good to go after practicing in a limited capacity on Thursday and Friday. He'll shadow Vincent Jackson, who should get plenty of action Sunday with Mike Evans (hamstring) out of the lineup.
Sun, Sep 13, 2015 03:12:00 PM

Titans CB Perrish Cox is listed as questionable for Week 1 with a hip injury.

Cox suffered the injury this week in practice. He got in limited sessions on Thursday and Friday, and coach Ken Whisenhunt said he expects Cox to play against the Bucs. With Jason McCourty (groin) already out, the Titans would be in a desperate position if Cox cannot go. Coty Sensabaugh, Blidi Wreh-Wilson and Cody Riggs would be the top three corners with Cox out. Vincent Jackson is shaping up as a great play this week.
