ESPN's Jeremy Fowler expects Joe Haden to remain with the Steelers in 2018.
The Steelers are short on cap space and could save $8 million against the cap by cutting Haden. The corner played well after joining the team last August, however, and Fowler believes that will be enough to keep him around. That said, it would not be a surprise if the Steelers look to rework the deal. Feb 27 - 10:53 AM

The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette's Gerry Dulac reports Steelers CB Joe Haden (leg) will return Week 16 against the Texans.

Haden looked close to playing last week, so this is not much of a surprise, especially with the Steelers getting an extra day -- they play on Christmas Day. Haden returning is a big boost to the secondary heading into the playoffs.

Steelers declared CB Joe Haden (leg) inactive for Week 15 against the Patriots.

It is a surprise after Ian Rapoport reported Sunday morning Haden would play. The Steelers will play it safe, however, with a player they need for a playoff run. Haden should return next week. Pittsburgh also declared Vance McDonald (shoulder), DT Dan McCullers, S JJ Wilcox, OT Matt Feiler, WR Justin Hunter, and QB Josh Dobbs inactive.

According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, the Steelers expect Joe Haden (questionable, leg) to play Week 15 against the Patriots.

Haden remains a game-time decision, though the Steelers liked what they saw from him at practice this week. This would be his first appearance since Week 10. Haden will need to be at his best against the Patriots, who should be hungry coming off an embarrassing loss to the Dolphins in Week 14.

Steelers CB Joe Haden (questionable, leg) said he'll be a game-time decision for Week 15 against the Patriots.

He's been practicing on a limited basis since Wednesday. Haden probably won't be at 100 percent if he suits up, but he could still be a difference-maker against Tom Brady and the Patriots. Haden hasn't seen the field since suffering a broken leg in Week 10.

Steelers CB Joe Haden (leg) returned to a limited practice on Wednesday.

It's the first time he's practiced since suffering a broken leg in Week 10. The Steelers are hoping to have him back Sunday against New England. A win would give Pittsburgh home field advantage throughout the AFC playoffs.

Steelers coach Mike Tomlin said CB Joe Haden (broken leg) will return to practice this week.

Haden has been out with a fractured fibula since Week 10. This does not mean he will definitely return this week, but it is a step in the correct direction. With the No. 1 seed on the line against New England, the Steelers could certainly use Haden back in the lineup on Sunday.

Steelrs CB Joe Haden (fibula) will undergo X-rays next week.

The results will determine how quickly Haden can resume practice. It sounds like Haden is trending toward a late season return. The Steelers are targeting Week 15 against the Patriots.

ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reports Steelers CB Joe Haden (fibula) does not need surgery and will miss at most six weeks.

Haden suffered a non-displaced fracture of his fibula against the Colts. Pro Football Talk reported Haden will only miss three weeks, and Fowler suggests the corner has a good shot to beat his six-week timetable. Even if he takes the full month and a half, it looks like Haden will be ready to go when the playoffs roll around.

Profootballtalk reports Steelers CB Joe Haden's fibula fracture is "slight," and he will miss only three weeks.

It would be a huge break for the Steelers, whose cornerback corps looks a lot less solid without Haden's solid 2017 in the mix. A three-week absence would have Haden returning in Week 13 or 14.
Sun, Nov 12, 2017 06:26:00 PM

Steelers CB Joe Haden has been diagnosed with a broken left fibula, and is out indefinitely.

Haden got run over by Donte Moncrief in the first half Sunday, and was spotted on crutches in the second half. It's quite possible he misses the rest of the season. Although still not the player he was in his prime, Haden has been enjoying something of a bounce-back season with the Steelers, who must now move forward with Artie Burns, Mike Hilton and William Gay as their top three corners. Haden's loss significantly thins Pittsburgh's depth, and downgrades the back end of the defense across the board.

Steelers CB Joe Haden was forced from Sunday's game against the Colts with a left leg injury, and will not return.

Haden got run over by Donte Moncrief in the first half, and was ruled out after the break. He remained down on the field for a long time, and re-emerged from the locker room on crutches. He should be considered week to week.
Sun, Nov 12, 2017 02:47:00 PM

Steelers signed CB Joe Haden to a three-year, $27 million contract.

Haden was strongly connected to Pittsburgh after his release from Cleveland. The deal includes $7M guaranteed this year and a $9M AAV, so the Steelers clearly think he still has some good years left. Injuries derailed Haden's career the last two seasons but he adds a veteran playmaker to Pittsburgh's secondary. Haden will get in practice time ahead of Week 1, though it may be a stretch for him to start the year in an every-down role.
Wed, Aug 30, 2017 04:26:00 PM

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports free agent CB Joe Haden will visit the Steelers on Wednesday night.

Pittsburgh is first up in the Haden sweepstakes. The Steelers are one of 12-13 teams that have already expressed interest, and it's been reported they're the "favorite" to land Haden. He should have a home in next 24 hours.
Wed, Aug 30, 2017 02:36:00 PM

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports the Steelers are the "favorite" to sign free agent CB Joe Haden.

Most signs have been pointing to this over the past hour. Haden, 28, isn't going to last long on the open market. A plus starter when healthy, Haden should have his pick of the litter. Signing with the Steelers would give Haden a chance to stay in the same division and not have to pick up his bags and move far, while also providing a real chance at the playoffs. Haden will have a home soon.
