Texans CBs Kareem Jackson (hamstring) and Johnathan Joseph (forearm) practiced Wednesday.
Jackson has missed the last two games due to a hamstring injury, but he is expected back this week. Joseph left Sunday night's game against the Colts with a forearm injury, but he ended up returning to the game. Even with Kevin Johnson (foot) heading to injured reserve, the Texans' secondary should remain solid. Oct 20 - 11:17 AM

Texans CB Kareem Jackson (ankle) is expected to play Week 12 against the Saints.

Jackson has been sidelined since Week 6. His return will bolster a Houston defense which has played extremely well the last three weeks.

Kareem Jackson (ankle) has been ruled out for Week 11.

Jackson got in some practice time this week, but will miss his second straight game. Kevin Johnson will make another start opposite Johnathan Joseph. Jackson should be on track for a Week 12 return.

Texans RCB Kareem Jackson (ankle) has been ruled out for Week 10.

The early rule out suggests Jackson will be no better than 50-50 for Week 11. Jackson hasn't played since Week 6.

Texans coach Bill O'Brien expects RCB Kareem Jackson (ankle) to be "out for awhile."

It sounds like he has a high ankle sprain. With Jackson out of the lineup in Sunday's loss to the Dolphins, Ryan Tannehill lit up the Texans for four TD passes in the first half alone. Houston hosts the Titans this week.

Texans RCB Kareem Jackson (ankle) has been ruled out for Week 7 against the Dolphins.

A.J. Bouye and first-round rookie Kevin Johnson will have to play increased roles behind No. 1 CB Johnathan Joseph. Jackson has been playing strictly right corner this year after mixing into the slot in sub-packages last season. His absence can't hurt Dolphins top perimeter WR Rishard Matthews' matchup.

Texans RCB Kareem Jackson (ankle) is not expected to play in Week 7.

Jackson suffered what may have been a high ankle sprain in last week's win over the Jaguars. After the Texans locked him up on a four-year, $34 million deal last March, Jackson has had a miserable season, grading out 104th among 111 qualified cornerbacks in PFF's ratings, and 100th in pass coverage.

Texans CB Kareem Jackson exited Week 6 against the Jaguars with an ankle injury.

He is questionable to return. A.J. Bouye should see more snaps with Jackson sidelined.

Texans LCB Kareem Jackson has been cleared of a concussion and will play Thursday night's Week 5 game against the Colts.

Jackson was dinged up in Sunday's blowout loss to the Falcons, but passed tests on the sidelines. He simply didn't re-enter because the Texans were getting steamrolled. Jackson will bookend RCB Johnathan Joseph on Thursday.

Texans LCB Kareem Jackson is in the league's concussion protocol.

Jackson isn't going to get cleared in time for Thursday's game against the Colts. Jumal Rolle and A.J. Bouye will pick up the scraps behind Kevin Johnson and Johnathan Joseph.

Texans re-signed CB Kareem Jackson to a four-year, $34 million contract with $20 million guaranteed.

The exorbitant price tag for a non-shutdown corner strongly hints at forthcoming overpays at cornerback when the signing period begins Tuesday. Still, the Texans are keeping one of the top young defensive backs off the market in Jackson, who graded out as PFF's No. 11 corner last season. Not yet 27 years old, Jackson will return to start opposite Johnathan Joseph and continue to play the slot in sub-packages. The demand for free agents Byron Maxwell and Brandon Flowers will increase with Jackson staying in Houston.

The Texans are not expected to use the franchise tag on CB Kareem Jackson.

Although Jackson was PFF's No. 11 CB last season, he's not worth the $13M it would cost for the Texans to keep him on a one-year franchise tender. That doesn't mean the team doesn't want him back. GM Rick Smith will try to work out a long-term deal before teams like the Bengals, with Jackson confidant Vance Joseph as DBs coach, come calling.

Free agent CB Kareem Jackson told SiriusXM NFL Radio that he would prefer if the Texans didn't assign him the franchise tag.

Jackson must have a pretty vivid imagination if he thinks the Texans would pony up $13 million just to keep him off the market. That's Darrelle Revis money. With that said, Jackson has played well in Houston and hashing out a long-term deal would make sense for both sides. The Alabama alum has recorded ten interceptions since entering the league in 2010.

Free agent CB Kareem Jackson wants to re-sign with the Texans.

"I’d love to be back here," Jackson said. "I definitely want to be a part of what’s starting to happen last year and progressing into the future." Jackson was the Texans' first-round pick -- 20th overall -- in 2010 and will turn 27 in April. He's missed six games across five seasons, but can play inside and outside at 5'10/188. Jackson was a top-seven cover corner at PFF this past season.
