Free agent LB O'Brien Schofield contends he has "good" offers on the table.
If so, then why hasn't he accepted one? Probably because they don't exist. Schofield has been trying to engage the Falcons in contract talks, but they've likely moved on after inking Courtney Upshaw earlier this spring. Schofield is 29 and saw his pass-rush production nosedive late in 2015. May 4 - 9:13 AM

Free agent DE/OLB O'Brien Schofield hasn't totally ruled out re-signing with the Falcons but acknowledges the team has probably moved on after signing Courtney Upshaw.

Schofield does have an offer on the table from Atlanta but it doesn't make sense for the Falcons to sign both players. He's drawn interest from a few other teams including the Bears, Cowboys, Dolphins, Titans and Seahawks. Schofield has battled knee arthritis throughout his career but has not missed a game over his last two seasons.

Free agent DE/OLB O'Brien Schofield said he's drawn interest from the Cowboys, Dolphins and Seahawks.

He'd be a logical fit for all three teams. The Cowboys are looking to replace Greg Hardy while the Seahawks need linebacker help after losing Bruce Irvin to Oakland. The Dolphins are also in the market for another edge rusher to pair with Mario Williams. Schofield was in talks with the Falcons earlier this week but he told ESPN's Josina Anderson the two sides "aren't seeing eye-to-eye on a contract."

ESPN's Vaughn McClure reports the Falcons are working on a deal with free agent DE/OLB O'Brien Schofield.

The Falcons want Schofield back, but McClure reports the Cowboys, Bears and Titans are also interested. Schofield recorded just two sacks in his first season in Atlanta, but the 2010 fourth-round pick earned positive grades against the run from Pro Football Focus. With his arthritic knee still a concern, Schofield is unlikely to land a long-term deal.

Free agent DE/OLB O'Brien Schofield wants to re-sign with the Falcons.

Schofield inked a one-year, $1.75 million deal with Atlanta last March, following coach Dan Quinn from Seattle. He didn't do a whole lot across 506 defensive snaps, recording just two sacks, but did play well against the run and has position flexibility. Teams' main concern is Schofield's knee arthritis.

Falcons signed DE/OLB O'Brien Schofield.

Schofield is coming off a strong showing as a reserve in Seattle last year, posting two sacks and a forced fumble in 341 snaps. When healthy, he's a solid pass rusher with the ability to play both outside linebacker and defensive end.

Seahawks DE/OLB O'Brien Schofield's roster spot is "written in permanent ink."

Schofield recorded his second sack of the preseason and hit the quarterback three times in the Seahawks' third preseason game Friday night. He has outplayed Benson Mayowa this preseason, and has likely carved out a role as a rotational lineman.

Seahawks re-signed OLB/DE O'Brien Schofield to a one-year contract.

Schofield, 27, finished the 2013 season with eight tackles and a sack, seeing action at both defensive end positions and some strong-side linebacker in a deep sub-package role. He'll battle for a roster spot in Seahawks training camp.

Free agent OLB O'Brien Schofield worked out for the Titans on Wednesday.

Schofield inked a two-year, $8 million deal with the Giants on the opening day of free agency but had the agreement nixed after he failed his physical. He reportedly passed his Tennessee physical Wednesday. Schofield was drafted by new Titans coach Ken Whisenhunt and the Cardinals in 2010.

A source tells NJ.com that the deal between free agent OLB O'Brien Schofield and the Giants is now "dead."

The Giants put Schofield through a physical and found a problem with his knee. It's likely related to his 2010 ACL tear sustained during the Senior Bowl. Schofield agreed to terms on a two-year, $8 million deal Tuesday, but we're re-marking him as a free agent for now. Perhaps the two sides will be able to agree on a less lucrative deal that protects the Giants against injury.

The deal between free agent OLB O'Brien Schofield and the Giants is on hold due to medical concerns.

After putting Schofield through a physical, the Giants have questions about his knee. He tore his ACL at the Senior Bowl in 2010.

Giants agreed to terms with DE/OLB O'Brien Schofield, formerly of the Seahawks, on a two-year, $8 million contract.

Schofield played outside linebacker in Arizona and Seattle during his first four seasons, but will likely play with his hand in the dirt in New York. He has 11.5 career sacks across 40 games. Schofield will also contribute on special teams.

After claiming him off waivers from the Cardinals, the Seahawks renegotiated OLB/DE O'Brien Schofield's contract.

Schofield was owed a $1.323 million salary, but the two sides agreed to knock it down to the four-year veteran's minimum of $630,000. LBs coach Ken Norton has been impressed with Schofield in the five days he's been with the team, and the lower salary gives him a better chance at a roster spot.

Seahawks claimed OLB/DE O'Brien Schofield off waivers from the Cardinals.

Arizona cut ties with Schofield after signing John Abraham. It's a nice landing spot for the 26-year-old pass rusher. Fellow edge player Chris Clemons is coming off a torn ACL, and Bruce Irvin will serve a four-game suspension. Schofield has just 10.5 sacks in his three-year career, but was highly regarded coming out of Wisconsin. He'll try to earn a backup "Leo" role behind Cliff Avril.

Cardinals waived OLB O'Brien Schofield.

Schofield, a fourth-round pick out of Wisconsin in 2010, never seemed to be in the plans of the new Arizona regime. Frankly, he hasn't been that good in his three NFL seasons. A nine-game starter last year before a season-ending ankle injury, Schofield registered just four sacks and has 10.5 in his career. The Cardinals' signing of John Abraham was the final nail in the coffin. Schofield is only 26 and was highly regarded coming out of college, so we wouldn't be surprised if he generated some interest on waivers.
