Redskins agreed to terms with LS Nick Sundberg on a four-year contract.

26-year-old Sundberg was shockingly given the "designated for return" tag after fracturing the ulna in his arm in last year's season opener. The Redskins could have used that designation on a more valuable offensive or defensive player, but clearly have a high opinion of Sundberg's long-snapping abilities. Mar 10 - 4:10 PM

Redskins activated LS Nick Sundberg off the "designated for return" injured reserve.

Sundberg gained notoriety in Week 1 for snapping eight times after breaking his "guide" arm. He's now reclaiming his job from fill-in Justin Snow.

Nick Sundberg - C - Redskins

Redskins assigned LS Nick Sundberg (fractured ulna) the "designated for return" tag on injured reserve.

Sundberg suffered the injury to his "guide" arm early in the season opener. He wound up snapping eight more times in the game, playing through "pretty terrible" pain and earning the respect of his teammates and coaches. He's expected to be in a cast for the next couple of weeks while his arm is immobilized. Justin Snow was signed to take his place.

	4	Chris Thompson Sidelined Redskins rookie RB Chris Thompson (torn ACL) is "more than a month away" from receiving full clearance, but is tentatively expected to be ready for training camp. "It’s something I have to be patient with," Thompson said. "But I know my time will come." A pint-sized (5-foot-7, 192 pounds) scatback, Thompson will be in the mix for third-down duties as long as he's healthy come the preseason. Jun 5

Garcon has opted against surgery because there's no guarantee that it will completely solve his injury. Therefore, he's looking toward pain management. "I have to learn a lot about my foot and how I run and things like that with all these injuries, but it's getting better," he said. If anywhere near 100 percent, Garcon has monster upside as an explosive "X" receiver in the Shanahan & Son offense. We'll get a better look at his progress in training camp. Jun 6

Shanahan "doesn't want" Davis to practice and instead wants to "use caution" and hold the tight end out until training camp, even though he could play in a game if he had to next week. There's no reason for the Redskins to rush Davis, but it's clear he's on track to be on the field in July. Jun 6

	3	Jordan Reed Sidelined Redskins third-round TE Jordan Reed (thigh) ended up missing all of OTAs and minicamp. Reed's injury was more severe than a standard muscle pull. "I had a [thigh] contusion in college and that caused my quad to shutdown and stop working, which caused my kneecap to start moving around and banging into my bone, and that caused a bone bruise," he said. "As long as I get that quad back firing right, my kneecap will stay in place and I'll be normal again." The Redskins are expecting Reed to be behind in training camp. Jun 19
