Jaguars waived QB Dan LeFevour, S Akwasi Owusu-Ansah, WR Nelson Rosario, WR Jarrett Boykin and DE Frank Trotter.
The Jaguars also waived WR Jarett Dillard on Monday. A sixth-round pick of the Bears in 2010, LeFevour has spent the majority of his career bouncing around practice squads. He was signed to the Jags' active roster last November, but was never active. It bodes extremely poorly for his NFL future that he couldn't stick on a 90-man offseason roster. Jaguars signed QB Dan LeFevour from the Colts' practice squad.

A fringe NFL talent, LeFevour will be the third quarterback behind Blaine Gabbert and Luke McCown. It's somewhat of a head-scratcher that the Jags would choose this week to add QB depth with so many missing bodies on the defensive side of the ball.

Bengals released QB Dan LeFevour from the practice squad.

They're going with the similarly weak-armed Zac Robinson. The Bengals kept only two quarterbacks on their 53-man roster (Andy Dalton, Bruce Gradkowski), quickly souring on LeFevour. A prolific passer at Central Michigan, LeFevour has proven a product of his college system. He lacks adequate velocity on throws.

Bengals claimed QB Dan LeFevour off waivers from the Bears.

It looks like the Bengals have a thing for QBs with below average arm strength. Though productive in college, LeFevour hasn't shown that he's worthy of an NFL roster. J.T. O'Sullivan was released to make room for LeFevour.

Bears waived QB Dan LeFevour.

The sixth-round pick out of Central Michigan showed well in the exhibition finale, but LeFevour lacks NFL-caliber arm strength. The practice squad isn't going to solve that problem, but it's still probably where he's headed.

Bears QB Dan LeFevour did not disappoint in Saturday's preseason game against the Raiders, finishing 10-of-12 for 100 yards and a touchdown.

With Caleb Hanie (shoulder) sidelined, LeFevour was called upon to backup starter Jay Cutler. LeFevour looked like he was finally getting a grasp of Mike Martz's offense, leading the team to a touchdown and a field goal.

Bears QB Dan LeFevour will see a majority of the snaps behind Jay Cutler in Saturday's preseason game against the Raiders.

With Caleb Hanie (shoulder) sidelined, LeFevour will see significant action. How he performs will go a long way in determining how he fits in Mike Martz's offense. There's a chance LeFevour fails to make the team.

The Chicago Sun Times' Sean Jensen observes that rookie QB Dan LeFevour's "arm just doesn't look like NFL material."

This was our scouting report on LeFevour coming out of Central Michigan, too, and it's a big minus in a vertical-based Mike Martz system. He should've landed in a West Coast-style offense. Jensen suggests LeFevour might not make the team. He was 2-of-10 for 21 yards in Chicago's preseason opener.

Bears signed sixth-round QB Dan LeFevour to a four-year contract, including a $107,673 million signing bonus.

LeFevour becomes the fourth Bears draft pick to sign in five days. The Bears are still considering adding a veteran backup to Jay Cutler, so LeFevour could be competing with Caleb Hanie for the No. 3 job this summer. Projecting as a long-term backup, LeFevour is a developmental project for Mike Martz.

Bears selected Central Michigan QB Dan LeFevour with the No. 181 overall pick in the 2010 draft.

A great athlete but ultimately a questionable passer, LeFevour struggled to throw spirals at his pro day after a wildly productive four-year career in the MAC. In addition to below average arm strength, LeFevour will have to learn to play under center after playing in a spread offense in college. He'll be tutored by Mike Martz behind Jay Cutler and Caleb Hanie in Chicago.

After speaking to officials from five teams on hand, NFL Network's Mike Mayock reports that Central Michigan QB Dan LeFevour demonstrated "average" ability at his Wednesday Pro Day.

LeFevour struggled to throw spirals, his ball "wobbled" too much, and evaluators came away saying the four-year starter is merely a "fourth- or fifth-round quarterback." As suspected, LeFevour isn't a big-time prospect.

Opinions of Central Michigan QB Dan LeFevour's passing were reportedly "mixed" after he threw for evaluators at his Pro Day.

LeFevour didn't throw to moving targets in Indianapolis, so he needed a big day to motivate his draft stock. However, LeFevour "struggled throwing the ball downfield," which isn't surprising considering his lack of ideal arm strength. Receivers reportedly had to slow down their routes frequently to haul in his throws, with some "out-running LeFevour's deep passes altogether."

Central Michigan QB Dan LeFevour, officially, ran a 4.66 forty-yard dash at the Scouting Combine Sunday.

He also had a nine-foot, two-inch broad jump. LeFevour, who has drawn lots of criticism for skipping passing drills at the Combine, is not an explosive athlete. His forty time is good, but he won't be a dual threat in the pros.

Central Michigan QB Dan LeFevour has opted not to throw at next week's Scouting Combine.

The decision isn't injury related, but rather LeFevour and his agent's choice. LeFevour is trying to ride his hot hand after throwing for 97 yards and a TD on ten attempts in last month's Senior Bowl, following a mediocre week of practice. LeFevour's arm strength remains a serious concern. He did confirm that he'll throw at the Chippewas' March Pro Day.
