ESPN Jaguars reporter Mike DiRocco believes there's a "chance" Jacksonville will release DE Jared Odrick.
Odrick was limited to six games last season after leading the 2015 Jaguars with 5.5 sacks. Odrick and the team reportedly have "minor friction" regarding the way he likes to train and rehab. Additionally, Odrick is due a $2 million roster bonus next month, when $3.5 million of his salary also becomes guaranteed. An end with the Jags, Odrick apparently wants to play more defensive tackle. Jaguars placed DE Jared Odrick (elbow) on season-ending injured reserve.

Odrick was active for just six games this year. He had been dealing with elbow issues since Week 2 but couldn't play through it the last few weeks. Odrick should be fully healthy for 2017 OTAs. He isn't a lock to return at his non-guaranteed $8.5 million salary.

Jaguars DE Jared Odrick (elbow) is expected to return against the Bears in Week 6.

Odrick has missed the Jaguars' last two games with an elbow injury but should be fine after the bye week. His return will bump Yannick Ngakoue from the starting lineup.

Jaguars DE Jared Odrick said he could not move his left elbow after the Week 2 loss to the Chargers.

Odrick left the game briefly with an elbow injury, but he came back in the second half. He will head for an MRI on Monday. After the defense was obliterated by San Diego, they cannot afford to lose Odrick.

Jaguars DE Jared Odrick has passed through the concussion protocol.

Odrick took a shot to the jaw in Wednesday's practice, but his quick progression through the protocol suggests he did not suffer a concussion. Either way, he will play against Green Bay.

Jaguars coach Gus Bradley expects DE Jared Odrick (concussion protocol) to play against the Packers in Week 1.

Odrick showed up on the injury report with a jaw injury on Wednesday, but the Jags were also concerned about a head injury. The Thursday returns must have been promising. Odrick will line up opposite Dante Fowler if he's active for Sunday's opener.

Jaguars DT Jared Odrick suffered a possible concussion in Wednesday's practice.

He was placed in the concussion protocol, but he has already been cleared for conditioning work and to observe practice. It is possible he did not actually suffer a concussion. His status for this week is uncertain.

Jaguars signed DT Jared Odrick to a five-year, $42.5 million contract with $22 million guaranteed.

The $8.5 million average makes Odrick the league's fourth-highest paid defensive tackle. Odrick will team with Sen'Derrick Marks and Roy Miller to form an impressive interior rotation. Odrick, 27, is above-average both as a pass rusher and in run defense. It's a huge get for Jacksonville, even it's coming at a steep price. The Jaguars' especially aggressive pursuit of Odrick may hint at Marks (ACL) not being available for Week 1.

Jaguars agreed to terms with DL Jared Odrick on a deal worth $7 million per season.

The cap-rich Jaguars add Odrick to a free-agency haul that already includes Julius Thomas and Jermey Parnell. It's an underrated signing, as 27-year-old Odrick can step in as a 307-pound "big" defensive end for Gus Bradley. Odrick will likely play three technique until Sen'Derrick Marks (ACL) returns. Odrick posted 16.5 sacks over the last four years for the Dolphins, showing an ability to push the pocket from the interior while also playing at a plus level against the run.

Free agent DL Jared Odrick is expected to sign with the Jaguars, according to Pro Football Talk.

This comes less than a day after the South Florida Sun-Sentinel reported Odrick was likely headed to Oakland. A bidding war between the Jags and Raiders was probably inevitable considering how much cap room the teams have at their disposal. The Dolphins closed the door on Odrick's return to Miami Sunday by offering Ndamukong Suh the richest contract ever for a defensive player.

Free agent DL Jared Odrick is reportedly in talks with the Raiders, Jaguars, and Broncos.

A tweet from the South Florida Sun-Sentinel's Twitter account on Sunday stated "Jared Odrick expected to sign with Oakland," though the story to which that tweet links does not say that. It says Odrick is speaking to these three teams and may command $7 million annually. The story also says "Oakland is believed to be chasing Odrick and Denver’s Terrance Knighton."

Yahoo! Sports' Charles Robinson reports the Jaguars "are turning their attention" to free agent DT Jared Odrick.

This comes after the Jaguars lost out to the Dolphins for Ndamukong Suh, who will reportedly ink a $114 million deal with Miami on Tuesday. Odrick is in the next tier of free-agent defensive tackles, though he's obviously several notches below Suh talent-wise. Odrick is expected to have plenty of suitors.

ESPN Dolphins reporter James Walker believes Miami will let free agent DT Jared Odrick walk.

This doesn't come as a huge surprise. The two sides haven't engaged in contract talks, and the Dolphins seem poised to make a serious run at free agent Ndamukong Suh. Odrick will still have a healthy market after Suh and Terrance Knighton sign their deals. Odrick could command north of $6 million annually as a scheme-versatile lineman who can play 4-3 defensive tackle or 3-4 end.

According to the Palm Beach Post, there's a "growing belief" free agent DT Jared Odrick will test the open market.

The Dolphins are trying to re-sign Odrick, quite possibly their No. 1 priority in free agency. But as a scheme-versatile 27-year-old that can get after the quarterback from the interior, there's going to be plenty of interest come March. Odrick's market will get even hotter if interior linemen like Ndamukong Suh and Terrance Knighton re-sign with their respective clubs.

Free agent DT Jared Odrick has yet to hear from the Dolphins.

Odrick, 27, started 15-of-16 games this past season, grading out as a top-19 defensive tackle at Pro Football Focus. He received especially strong marks as a pass rusher, although he recorded just one sack. Odrick has 16.5 career sacks and has experience playing 4-3 defensive tackle and 3-4 end.
