Eagles TE Clay Harbor is not switching positions despite spending one day at outside linebacker in OTAs.
"I'm a tight end, and for emergency situations, and just versatility purposes, for me, I'm learning (outside linebacker)," Harbor said Saturday. "Something happens to where you need an outside linebacker, it would be good to know some. Coaches talked to me, 'Would you mind learning a little bit of linebacker, just in case?'" Harbor did go on to admit the Eagles have a "lot" of tight ends, and that "there's a good chance that I might not be here." A three-year veteran going on 26, Harbor's NFL future should remain at tight end. May 20 - 8:30 AM

The Eagles are "temporarily" moving TE Clay Harbor to outside linebacker.

It doesn't sound like a permanent move, but it could be. The Eagles obviously don't think highly enough of Harbor to let him work on learning the new offense. The 2010 fourth-rounder has been an underachiever since entering the league, and he's entering the final year of his rookie deal. Harbor is clearly the odd man out at tight end after the additions of Zach Ertz and James Casey.

Philly Mag's Sheil Kapadia believes TE Clay Harbor is squarely on the roster bubble.

Harbor, an underachiever since being selected in the fourth round of the 2010 draft, is entering the final year of his rookie contract. The Eagles signed James Casey and also have Brent Celek on the roster. Harbor will likely compete with a mid- to late-round pick for third-string duties.

Eagles TE Clay Harbor said he broke three small bones in his lower back during last Thursday's loss to the Bengals.

Harbor sustained the injury in the first quarter and still finished out the game. He's since been placed on injured reserve. Brent Celek is back from his concussion and will start Sunday's game against the Redskins.

Eagles placed TE Clay Harbor (back) on injured reserve, ending his season.

Harbor played through a deep contusion to his lower back after getting drilled just before halftime last week. Brent Celek (concussion) returns to the lineup this week with Emil Igwenagu as the backup. Harbor enters the final year of his rookie contract in 2013.

Eagles TE Clay Harbor suffered back spasms in Thursday's loss to the Bengals.

Harbor was drilled in the back just before halftime. "I really couldn't move the way I wanted to or do anything the way I wanted to after that play," explained Harbor. "I was just laboring and trying to fight for my teammates at that point knowing Brent's out and obviously I have to go." Brent Celek is expected to return for Week 16 versus the Redskins.

Clay Harbor, who started in place of Brent Celek (concussion), caught three passes for 30 yards in Week 15 versus the Bengals.

Harbor saw six targets on the night, with two of them being end zone opportunities at the end of the first half. On his final catch, Harbor lost a fumble to account for the Eagles' fifth turnover of the game. Celek should be able to return to face the Redskins in ten days, so Harbor will return to a back-up role.

Clay Harbor is starting in place of Brent Celek (concussion) versus the Bengals in Week 15.

It's the first game Celek has missed since entering the league in 2007. Harbor finished with a 6/52/1 stat line in relief of Celek last week, reeling in all six targets. Rotoworld ranks him 20th among fantasy tight ends for Week 15.

Clay Harbor caught six passes for 52 yards with a touchdown in the Eagles' Week 14 win over the Bucs.

Brent Celek left with a concussion sustained on the very first drive of the game. Harbor, a natural pass-catcher, responded by hauling in all six of his targets, including a tough catch in the back of the end zone with just under four minutes to go. Celek is highly unlikely to be cleared in time for Thursday's game against the Bengals, leaving Harbor as a desperation TE2.

Clay Harbor caught three passes for 16 yards with a touchdown in the Eagles' Week 1 win over the Browns.

Harbor made the game-winning touchdown catch with 1:18 remaining on a crossing route. He was targeted six times, but he'll share the tight-end targets with Brent Celek. Owners should reach higher at the TE2 spot.

Eagles TE Clay Harbor remains the favorite to back up Brent Celek this season.

The Eagles brought in veteran Donald Lee, but the blocker hasn't been able to unseat Harbor yet. Harbor, a 2010 fourth-rounder, fits better on the roster thanks to his special teams ability.

Eagles rookie TE Clay Harbor caught four passes for 32 yards in Sunday's loss to the Cowboys.

The Eagles rested Brent Celek, so Harbor piled up a team-high nine targets. The rookie fourth-rounder had a hideous drop deep down the field in the second half, but otherwise handled himself well. With Cornelius Ingram's career in jeopardy due to multiple knee injuries, Harbor is the favorite for No. 2 tight end duties next year.

Clay Harbor has taken over the as Eagles' No. 2 tight end, confirms beat writer Geoff Mosher.

Cornelious Ingram's multiple major knee surgeries have sapped his trademark speed and quickness, so Harbor is in. The fourth-round rookie will be on the field in two-tight end sets, but isn't a great pass-catcher. If Brent Celek were to get hurt, owners should look elsewhere.

Eagles signed fourth-round TE/FB Clay Harbor to a four-year contract.

An intriguing athlete out of small school Missouri State, Harbor was announced as a fullback by the Eagles after playing both positions in college. For now, he's practicing with the tight ends, but his ideal role is H-back. He'll be limited to special teams work as a rookie.
