Aaron Rodgers singled out TE Andrew Quarless as someone standing out in offseason workouts.
Quarless had just 29 catches, 323 yards and three touchdowns last year. He's also been in the league four years already and will be sharing time with Richard Rogers. So forgive us if we take this Rodgers quote with a grain of salt: "Andrew Quarless has had a great offseason. I think he’s really, something clicked in for him at the end of last year and he’s been taking the jump. " Jun 16 - 10:54 AM

Andrew Quarless will compete with Richard Rodgers for the starting tight end job again this year.

It's not really a position battle worth tracking closely because the two will rotate and Green Bay's scheme doesn't rely heavily on the tight end. Last year, the duo combined for just 49 catches and 548 yards, with Quarless at 29-323-3.

Andrew Quarless was held without a catch in the NFC Championship Game.

Quarless' lone target was a critical fourth-quarter pass where he couldn't make a difficult catch. Quarless "led" the Packers' tight end corps with a 29/323/3 line this season, but ceded lots of work to third-round rookie Richard Rodgers. Rodgers made a bigger impact down the stretch, and could move past Quarless in 2015. Quarless is a nonentity in dynasty leagues.
Jan 18 - 7:33 PM

Andrew Quarless secured 4-of-4 targets for 31 yards and a touchdown in the Packers' Divisional Round win over the Cowboys.

Quarless converted his first target for a four-yard touchdown, putting Green Bay ahead 7-0 in the first quarter. Quarless added a 12-yard gain on an improvised checkdown early in the fourth. Quarless primarily blocks and catches checkdowns in the Packers' passing offense. He may have to play a bigger role than usual when Green Bay treks to Seattle for the NFC Championship Game.
Jan 11 - 4:44 PM

Andrew Quarless was held without a catch on one target in Green Bay's Week 17 win over the Lions.

Quarless heads into the playoffs the owner of a 29/323/3 line. If he makes an impact in the Divisional Round, it will be hard to see coming.

Andrew Quarless secured 1-of-4 targets for seven yards in the Packers' Week 15 loss to the Bills.

Quarles is a minor part of Green Bay's passing game. He's a low-end TE2.
Sun, Dec 14, 2014 04:38:00 PM

Andrew Quarless caught three passes for 52 yards in the Packers' Week 14 win over the Falcons.

He was targeted four times. The yards were a season-high for Quarless, which tells us all we need to know. He isn't, and never was, worth fantasy consideration.

Andrew Quarless caught two passes for 11 yards with a touchdown in Sunday's Week 6 win at Miami.

With just seven seconds left and the Packers trailing 24-20, they split Quarless out wide -- something they rarely do. He ended up 1-on-1 with Phillip Wheeler and won the battle, winning the game for the Packers. Quarless is still safe to ignore in fantasy lineups.

Andrew Quarless had two catches for 19 yards in Week 5 against the Vikings.

Quarless played the majority of snaps in base sets, getting both of his receptions on check downs. He was able to secure his two targets after being held without a catch last week. As the in-line blocking complement to Richard Rodgers, Quarless can continue to be avoided in fantasy leagues.

Andrew Quarless had zero catches on zero targets in Sunday's Week 4 win at Chicago.

Confirming that his Week 3 mini-breakout was a fluke, Quarless airballed despite playing on 44-of-52 snaps. He's an in-line blocking complement to the guy the Packers want to be their pass-catching tight end, Richard Rodgers.

Andrew Quarless caught 4-of-5 targets for 43 yards and a touchdown in Green Bay's Week 3 loss to the Lions.

Quarless' strong-handed grab on tight coverage in the end zone was the Pack's lone score of the day. He was the only Green Bay tight end to be targeted in the passing game. Quarless now has eight catches for 77 yards through three games, but remains off the TE2 radar.
Sun, Sep 21, 2014 05:58:00 PM

Andrew Quarless caught 3-of-4 targets for 26 yards in Green Bay's Week 1 loss to the Seahawks.

With "starter" Richard Rodgers slowed by a neck stinger, Quarless picked up the receiving slack. He could have had a bigger night, but had a 31-yard catch negated by penalty. Quarless isn't a viable TE2 as the Packers wait for Brandon Bostick (leg) to heal.

Andrew Quarless caught one pass for a 6-yard touchdown in Friday's preseason game against the Raiders.

Quarless rotated in well behind third-round rookie Richard Rodgers, who appears to have sewn up the starting gig. Quarless, who has five catches for 64 yards and one touchdown so far this preseason, is not on the TE2 radar.

Reps between Andrew Quarless, Richard Rodgers and Brandon Bostick will continue to be divvied up.

Rodgers appears to have his nose in front as he started the preseason opener, but things are far from settled. Quarless brings more as a blocker and Bostick is the best in space. Ultimately, fantasy owners should expect inconsistent box-score production no matter who wins the job.

An NFC North personnel man said he sees Andrew Quarless as a "No. 2."

As in, a backup. Quarless rested during the offseason program, allowing rookie Richard Rodgers to shine. Now Quarless has a battle on his hands, and he doesn't have the skill set to blow anyone away in a competition. "He's not a good in-line blocker," the personnel man said. "He's better in space. His overall effort can be up and down. I don't think he's the most physically tough guy or the strongest guy at the point of attack." Quarless isn't on the re-draft radar.
