Giants re-signed exclusive rights free agents DE Adrian Tracy and OL Jim Cordle.
Tracy, a 2010 sixth-rounder, was converted from linebacker to defensive end last season, but played just 70 snaps. He's been mentioned as someone to keep an eye on this summer in the defensive end rotation with Osi Umenyiora on his way out. Cordle appeared in all 16 games, playing mainly on special teams. The Giants are converting Adrian Tracy into a defensive end.

Tracy, a sixth-round pick in 2010, has been a practice squad linebacker with the Giants, but was a defensive end at William & Mary. He's still listed as a linebacker, but he's battling with Justin Trattou for a piece of the defensive end rotation now that Dave Tollefson is in Oakland.

Giants waived LB/DE Adrian Tracy and DE Craig Marshall.

Tracy was an explosive pass rusher at D-IAA William & Mary, but couldn't translate production to the NFL with the Giants. It didn't help that he was buried at both defensive end and strong-side linebacker. Marshall, fittingly, is an undrafted rookie out of Marshall. He was a longshot from the get-go.

Giants placed LB Adrian Tracy (elbow) on injured reserve, ending his season.

Tracy underwent surgery to repair ligament damage in his elbow on Tuesday. The sixth-rounder was a developmental project, expected to convert from defensive end to outside linebacker while pitching in on special teams. He'll battle for a roster spot next summer.

Giants rookie LB Adrian Tracy sustained a dislocated right elbow in Saturday's game against the Ravens.

Tracy was headed for a special teams role if he made the final roster. He's likely ticketed for injured reserve after coming up lame Saturday.

Giants signed sixth-round OLB Adrian Tracy to a multi-year contract.

William & Mary's all-time leader in sacks with 31, Tracy will convert from defensive end to strong-side linebacker with the Giants. He relied on his superior athleticism in college, so he'll work on polishing his pass-rushing skills while concentrating on special teams as a rookie.
