Ravens re-signed T/G Ramon Harewood to a one-year contract.
Ravens GM Ozzie Newsome has long been weak to Harewood's potential as an athletic and versatile 6-foot-6, 340-pounder. Harewood was exposed in pass pro during five starts at left guard last year. He'll vie for a roster spot in camp. Mar 13 - 12:17 AM

Date:

Ramon Harewood will start at left guard for the Ravens on Monday night.

It was previously thought that Bobbie Williams would play at the position, but Baltimore is going with the inexperienced Harewood. He has never played a regular season down due to injuries in his first two seasons. Michael Oher will play left tackle and Kelechi Osemele will line up at right tackle with Bryant McKinnie on the bench. Jah Reid is inactive with a calf injury.

Ravens placed OT Ramon Harewood on injured reserve with torn ankle ligaments, ending his season.

The injury requires surgery. A sixth-round pick last year, this is the second consecutive season Harewood has been placed on injured reserve before the season even started.

Ravens rookie OT Ramon Harewood, who's on I.R. and out for the season, has undergone surgery on both knees.

He had an arthroscopic surgery on his left knee, and an "open procedure" on his right. Still on crutches, Harewood vows to be "back in time for the offseason." He's got upside as a potential No. 2 left tackle of the future.

Ravens placed OT Ramon Harewood (knees) on injured reserve, ending his season.

He'll be stashed on the I.R. list as a "redshirt" rookie, and brought back for 2011 training camp. Harewood's injuries to both knees are not believed to be serious. The Ravens are high on him as a future No. 2 left tackle.

Ravens signed sixth-round OL Ramon Harewood to a three-year contract, including a $74,171 signing bonus.

A 6'6/355-pound project from Morehouse college, Harewood tore tissue in his right knee at the Ravens' early May minicamp and has been sidelined for most pre-training camp activities. He's probably headed for a practice squad.

Sixth-round OT Ramon Harewood is expected to be sidelined 3-4 weeks after suffering tissue damage in his right knee during Ravens minicamp.

Harewood had to be carted off the field, so he's fortunate that no ligaments were damaged. A massive (6'7/358) small-school prospect out of Morehouse, Harewood has the size and athleticism to develop as a starting caliber bookend. The first NFL player from Barbados could be ticketed for the practice squad in year one.
