Pugh broke the news on his Twitter account. A 2010 sixth-round pick, Pugh appeared in 27 games for the Panthers the past two seasons, notching 31 tackles and one pick. Jordan Pugh - DB - Redskins

Panthers FS Jordan Pugh has been ruled out for Week 17 against the Saints.

Both Pugh and DT Andre Neblett will miss Sunday's game as they continue to deal with post-concussion issues. Ogemdi Nwagbuo replaces Neblett along the defensive front while Jonathan Nelson provides depth behind Charles Godfrey and Sharrod Martin at safety.

Panthers S Jordan Pugh left Sunday's game in the fourth quarter with an apparent head injury.

Pugh may have been concussed for the second time this year, as his helmet banged hard on the turf. He was playing for starter Charles Godfrey, who was forced out with a shoulder injury.

With Marcus Hudson already inactive, the Panthers were paper thin in the secondary. Pugh is headed for an MRI to determine the severity.

Panthers' rookie DB Jordan Pugh will be called on to play a number of different positions if he makes the team's final roster.

Pugh would be a jack-of-all-trades in the team's defensive backfield. The Panthers love his versatility, and the fact that he can be an immediate impact player on special teams won't hurt his chances to make the final 53-man roster.

Panthers signed sixth-round DB Jordan Pugh to a four-year contract.

Pugh was a playmaking corner and safety at Texas A&M. The Panthers envision him as a free safety, but he has a cornerback's size at 5'11/191. Pugh will start out on special teams if he makes the final roster as a rookie.

Thompson is a thimble of a football player at 5-foot-7, 192 pounds, but coach Mike Shanahan believes he would have been a first- or second-round pick if not for his injury. Garcon played through the injury in 2012, but it's a concern he's already resigned to the possibility of playing at less than 100 percent for the second consecutive season.
