Dolphins activated LG Ted Larsen from injured reserve.
Larsen looks on track to play Sunday night after missing the first eight weeks. He should resume his starting role over Jesse Davis if active. Larson has potential to upgrade an offensive line that has been one of the worst in the league. Sat, Nov 4, 2017 04:11:00 PM

Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald reports Dolphins LG Ted Larsen (torn biceps) is headed to injured reserve.

Larsen suffered a torn biceps last week. Salguero reports the Dolphins hope Larsen will be one of their return players, but he will at least be sidelined the first eight games of the season. Already thin at guard, the Dolphins are running out of options.

The Miami Herald reports the Dolphins "fear" a torn biceps for LG Ted Larsen.

Larsen is in the mix at left guard, and also has experience at center, which would be a trouble spot if Mike Pouncey (hip) isn't ready for Week 1. Larsen is probably the favorite at left guard. A torn biceps can be a season-ending injury.

Free agent addition Ted Larsen is penciled in as the Dolphins' left guard.

For now, the Dolphins are keeping Jermon Bushrod at right guard. Larsen has never been a particularly effective player, but was far better than Bushrod last season. Guard could be a target for the Dolphins in the draft.

Dolphins signed OG Ted Larsen, formerly of the Bears, to a three-year contract.

Larsen was elbowed out by the arrival of Josh Sitton early last season, but he still ended up starting eight games because of injury. Larsen is not stellar by any means, but he is a solid veteran who can work on either side of the center. He is an option for an offensive line looking for starters on the inside.

Ted Larsen is getting the first crack at replacing Hroniss Grasu (knee) as the Bears' starting center.

Larsen took his first reps at the pivot with Jay Cutler and the first-team offense Monday. According to beat writer Brad Biggs, Larsen wasn't particularly impressive, getting beaten by ILB Jerrell Freeman for a sack and then pushed around by NT Eddie Goldman. Making 12 starts at guard for the Cardinals last season, Larsen was PFF's No. 77 guard out of 82 qualifiers.

Bears signed G/C Ted Larsen.

Larsen had interest from multiple teams, visiting with Atlanta, Seattle, and the 49ers. He graded out negatively in both pass protection and run blocking in 10 starts with Arizona, but joins Manny Ramirez as a solid veteran addition to the interior line. Larsen played right guard last year, but could be an option at center. ESPN's Adam Caplan expects him to start at guard.

Free agent G/C Ted Larsen said he had a "great" visit with the Falcons on Thursday.

Larsen said he's still considering his options and won't sign a contract on Friday. He's also paid visits to the Seahawks and 49ers this offseason. RG Chris Chester's roster spot will be in jeopardy if Larsen lands with the Falcons.

Free agent G/C Ted Larsen is visiting the Falcons on Thursday.

Larsen has drawn sustained interest in free agency, but is 0-for-2 on deals following visits with San Francisco and Seattle. Signing Larsen would probably mean the Falcons are prepared to let RG Chris Chester walk.

The Falcons are interested in free agent OG Ted Larsen.

The Falcons are looking for guard help and are considering Larsen, incumbent free agent Chris Chester, and center-turned-guard Mike Person. Larsen was one of the worst starters in the league last season in Arizona.

Free agent G/C Ted Larsen is visiting the Seahawks.

Larsen is also drawing interesting from the 49ers. His agent appears to be in the top one percentile of power texters, keeping the media apprised of his every move.

ESPN's Adam Caplan reports the Seahawks have interest in free agent G/C Ted Larsen.

Seattle needed interior line help even before losing RG J.R. Sweezy to Tampa Bay. Larsen performed poorly across ten starts in Arizona last year, finishing 77th among 82 qualifiers in Pro Football Focus' guard grades. NFL teams should be looking at Larsen as a swing guard-center backup, not a starter.

Free agent OL Ted Larsen will visit the 49ers.

Larsen was, flatly, terrible for the Cardinals last season, but can play any spot along the interior. The 49ers need a new left guard after losing Alex Boone, but would be thinking about as small as possible if they were looking at Larsen for a guaranteed starting job.

Ted Larsen and A.Q. Shipley are battling for the starting center job.

Coach Bruce Arians expects this battle to come down to the wire. No matter who wins, the Cardinals line should be improved thanks largely to the addition of stud LG Mike Iupati.
Mon, Aug 3, 2015 10:05:00 AM

Speaking Monday, Cardinals coach Bruce Arians called Ted Larsen his starting left guard.

It's unclear how permanent the designation is, but it's just the Cardinals' latest show of frustration with second-year pro Jonathan Cooper. Cooper is battling a toe injury, and has struggled when on the field. A fifth-year pro, Larsen has made 31 career starts, four of which came with the Bucs last season. Left guard is a major trouble spot for Arizona.
